Hello, apologies for my lack of comment replying/reading. I've been too unwell this week with migraines - had two in three days (just after this was posted). I will catch up this weekend/start of the week and thank you x

Beckie can I just say how gloriously at ease you seem in this video. It’s clear to see how your autism diagnosis has affected you in a positive way. It’s amazing to see. Keep being you 🥰❤️

I'll be honest, I shot another one just before that was something more like the big one I posted Feb 2020. Decided not to share that for now. Moved onto the new two I shot (this and one about loops). So by this stage, I was feeling better. Tell you what.... one thing that's contributed to the freedom is having not looked at the gossip forums since June/July 2022. I am speaking without fear and also living so much life not even thinking about them. It's such a freeing feeling. For years they were inside my brain every second of the day. Every word I spoke I spoke in fear. This is such bliss currently. Sure I'm rather broken inside and still worried, but it's not the same as before. I'm really glad it shows, I feel it

I'm so glad your parents are ok. As for privacy, it's important to have as much privacy as you need /want. (and probably more in this world of today) . And…flap away, Do you and don't apologize.

Hi Rebecca. So happy to have see you are doing relatively well. It is like a throwback random/waffling video. Congrats on both of your parents beating cancer (my mom is a 7 year survivor) and it is something I am eternally grateful for. Thanks again for sharing (as you feel comfy) how things are going with you. And as a fellow tricher, congrats on your progress and growth (not just in hair length, but in mindset). If you are ok with virtually hugs, sending virtual hugs to you. Ashley-Tennessee-USA

I'm sooo glad for you things in life has changed for the better, compared to years ago. All those health struggles, physically and mentally, financially, romantically, work, your parents, all the online hate.. you've been through so much (and still are) and yet you're still sitting there making videos like this and sharing your thoughts with the world because you want to. Don't know how you're always so grateful, hopeful, open and kind. Guess it's just who you are, no matter what happens? I truly hope you will continue to share your life journey with us, the good and bad, just as it comes. And make more videos about how being neurodivergent impacts all of it. Hope you won't worry too much about others not understanding you or feel guilty for taking a break from KZbin, or being less personal when you just need some privacy, recovery time, or when you change your mind about something you said before. If you are okay with it, it simply is okay! If you need to share, share! And if you need things to be private, keep it private. You know what's best for you and you don't owe anyone an explanation for simply taking care of yourself

I dont know if you will see this, but this is my first video seeing you since 2019. Its wonderful coming back to your channel, which was a big comfort to me as a young adult. You helped me understnad my skin picking, introduced me to my favourite fidgets, and now its exciting to see you come into your own with unmasking as i am working on this journey of neurodivergent self acceptance. All of this to say, thank you for being your wonderful self.

Not a full flat tour, bc it makes lots of sense to keep that for yourself, but if you ever wanted to, I think it would be really lovely to hear you talk about the art you’ve got displayed in the art den - techniques, any inspiration you want to share, color combos you love, etc. I’ve always enjoyed your art and your art style (have one of your painting hanging above my drafting table, actually!) and I think it would be interesting to hear you talk about your art, if you wanted to.

In Kayak related news I had my first trip in a kayak recently in Scotland near Arisaig (with Arisaig Sea Kayak Centre). We went out to the Skerries, a group of small isles outside Arisaig. Crystal clear water, sunshine and coral beaches - it was a marvelous experience. Highly recommend if you ever have the chance to take a kayak to the scottish west coast.

I can't remember the last time I saw a AskBeckie video. Glad to see a new one. Happy to learn your parents are doing better. I think I can speak for many of us that you look beautiful no matter :) Oh, a little news about me, I am working on my first novel ever and it's a Christmas story. If it gets published I will be sure to share.

I didn't see it in this video, but you used to have a cat that you could talk to. Pets are better than people because they very rarely gossip! I myself have ferrets and i am adopting five more (A mum and 4 daughters), tomorrow. The sanctuary did not want to break up a family and so i agreed to adopt them all. Spare me the vet's bills. Pets offer unconditional love and attention, but they do tend to randomly knock things off shelves and tables. Stay well.

Beckie could you please make a video about your migraines as I am a fellow sufferer and am struggling with finding any help
@beckiejbrown Жыл бұрын
Neurology has now diagnosed them as migraines which is good as in the last year or so there have been mixed opinions from people I've seen. Cluster headaches came up when in hospital and shook up my journey a bit. At least that is confirmed now. Don't know where to begin to be honest and don't know if I can be honest about how bad things are as I work full time. Many people with difficulties like this that get no support at all hide the extent of what we deal with as if we're honest - everything we do have will be lost. Feel like I can only talk about how bad things are when I retire

does getting the diagnosis make you feel like a weight is off your shoulders? After some while after my first psychosis my psychiatrist finally told (and waited a bit) to tell me i'm schizo- affective, it kinda felt like a relief. ive read a lot of books about it, altough knowing the problem is not solving the problem. :) wish you the best!

I don’t think you should do a flat tour! Maybe show off some cool art or decorations that you’ve gotten since moving in instead? I think that’s usually what the non-creeps are interested in anyway.

I'm not on the ground floor which is a good thing, that helps... even so, still concerning. I know there was a period where I was hiding my car/getting nervous my tyres might be slashed etc. Didn't like people coming into work and watching me etc. Things are better now though, no one knows where I work or who I work for. It's been hard as some jobs need our faces to be integral to what we do, e.g. so much marketing nowadays. Feel safer like this. As for my home, it's mine and I do what I can... but it's not me. It's just what I've been able to do whilst living here. Currently I'm prioritising paying off the mortgage over anything else. I was considering renovation and had kitchen plans drawn up - but was then advised to overpay and then move. So.. that's my current situation. Could have turned the home upside down, but deciding not to

Great video! I am very curious about you and caffeine. I know you are still on the waiting list for ADHD testing. I'm not sure if it's all neurodivergent brains, or just ADHD, but caffeine works different in our brains. Caffeine is a "stimulant" just like ADHD meds. Every ADHD person I know says they can focus when they drink caffeine or that they could fall asleep after having caffeine. I feel the same about it and admit to self-medicating with caffeine.
@ania5038 Жыл бұрын
That's what I was thinking. For me, caffeine makes me feel more relaxed than stimulated.
