We were born into this darkened world with corrupted hearts and wills. Until we believe in Christ, we exist in a world under the wrathful condemnation of a holy, righteous God. The bottom line for people who reject Jesus is they simply don’t like being told how they should live. People want to live for themselves
@AliCoxMusic9 ай бұрын
I believe that’s why the young girl with the accent wants all religions to be valid. She can pick and choose the aspects that suit her lifestyle and own morals.
@Talon199 ай бұрын
Being told what to do is a hard reality of every human society. Saying “they don’t want to do what they are told” is so generic and universal as to be useless. People do NOT reject Jesus AND people who accept Jesus still largely do what they want or what they are told because there are no alternatives. Belief doesn’t always translate to actions and actions do not ensure belief.
@AliCoxMusic9 ай бұрын
@@Talon19 can you clarify what you’re trying to say? I’m a little confused. I don’t think any Christian (a true one) would claim to be perfect? Of course all society’s come with rules/laws. I think that Christian’s such as myself argue that the morality that you’ve correctly pointed out exists for all humans, comes from God. I need to reiterate that any true Christian does not just “do what they want”. Resisting temptation is kind of our whole deal. We struggle with it for sure as we are human and flawed but it’s what we strive for. If someone is claiming Christian but doing what they want when they want, we believe they will answer for this. It’s not for us or you to decide who is good or bad. Thats santas job! (Sorry couldn’t resist 😂) Just to make it abundantly clear (if the stupid joke didn’t do that) I’m really not trying to argue with you here, I just don’t really understand what you’re trying to say. Yes, right and wrong/struggling with being told how to live is very played out and generic. But that’s because it’s one of the most hotly debated universal truths to exist. You’ve heard it said a lot because it’s one of the most important aspects of existence. Great philosophers have pondered on this for hundreds of years so I think calling it generic and discounting it is probably a bit much.
@Talon199 ай бұрын
@@AliCoxMusic The same point (similar morality across all humans) can also be used to support an atheistic, deist, or humanist belief. You believing they will “answer for this” is placing yourself as judge; which Jesus teaches us not to do.
@Talon199 ай бұрын
@@AliCoxMusic The opening post claimed people who reject Jesus just want to do what they want to do. That isn’t exclusive to Christianity or any religion, sect, doctrine, ideology, etc. That everyone wants to do what they want can be used as supporting both religion and atheism; so it’s a useless point. Similarly, the claim that atheism leads to moral relativism is likewise pointless because moral relativism exists in all religions et al.

If you had the type of proof you’re asking for then it would not be a choice to believe in God any more then it’s a choice to believe that gravity exists. It simply is. And God is not going to force that kind of proof on people so they still can choose him freely.
@robertdewhurst90319 ай бұрын
@@pcdeltalink036 He never gave concrete proof to people now a days I’ve never gotten it. That’s what the guy argued. And merely showing your existence isn’t forcing anything. He did it for people years ago god didn’t seem to have a problem with it then

I started reading the bible because I was curious to what happens when we die. I am happy I made that decision. It was very difficult until I started to study each book individually and watched other people on youtube explain each book in their way to help my understanding. I love our bible now. I believe in Jesus. I believe in the trinity. Not just believe.... I know now.

An atheist/humanist told me this last year at work. He told me "I think your religion is just as valid as any other religion". I replied that I think that's stupid, that that was a very stupid worldview to hold. When he responded in shock, telling me with wide eyes, "you don't think your religion is just as valid as any other?", I said no, why would I think my religion is just as valid as Satanism, or Luciferinaism, or Wiccan, or hindustan with their 300 million gods? He didn't know what to say.

When people make these statements that all religions are essentially saying the same thing and they are just different parts of a whole. They are in themselves claiming to be viewing truth from the outside and can see the whole picture while the rest of us are just stupid christians holding onto the elephants tail with out eyes closed refusing to look. That is so incredibly arrogant it's scary.
@pcdeltalink0369 ай бұрын
I don’t always necessarily think it’s that. More often when I hear such claims my first thought is something like “You’ve never looked at what each major religion claims as true, have you? Because they are so far apart when you look at that it’s laughable to say they are all the same.”

There is no way the religions are the same: Jesus explicitly claims to be THE “I AM” (John 8:24 & 58), quoting Exodus 3:14 in the Septuagint translation (Ego Eimi is “I AM” in the Greek Old Testament) & applying divine title to Himself twice. If He was not claiming to be the same eternal God that spoke to Moses from the burning bush, there’d be no reason for Jews to say “you make yourself out to be God.” & try to stone Him. They knew exactly the claim He was making about Himself in both those passages. Jesus claimed to be God & rose from the dead to prove it, yet some STILL doubted: The doubt as to whether Jesus really existed is unfounded & not worth refutation. No sane person can doubt that Jesus stands as founder behind the historical movement whose first distinct stage is represented by the oldest Palestinian community. (Rudolf Bultmann, Jesus & the Word (London: Collins/Fontana, 1958), p. 13. To doubt the historical existence of Jesus at all … was reserved for an unrestrained, tendentious criticism of modern times into which it is not worthwhile to enter here. (Günther Bornkamm, Jesus of Nazareth, Translated by I. & F. McLuskey with J. M. Robinson (New York, NY: Harper & Row, 1960), p. 28.

You do not know when spiritual insight and progress is taking place in the minds of those who may appear to be very humble and of no account socially. Cease your criticism of Christ and many others because you do not know the heights of spiritual knowledge, insight and enlightenment they may have attained. Realize that you, yourself, are only as spiritually advanced as is your personal perception of Reality. If you have no perception of what lies beyond the veil of the material world-you may be a believer or a scientist, but you do not have a spiritual consciousness. This is the true ideal, the true aspiration, the highest goal-to understand and experience the Reality behind and within all things giving them their individual being. You may call the Reality-"God," "Allah," "Jehovah," "Infinite Intelligence," "Divine Mind" or "Divine Consciousness," or the "Tao." All these names mean the SOURCE of BEING-the CREATIVE ORIGINS. YOU CAN HAVE NO HIGHER ASPIRATION THAN THIS-to understand and experience the Reality behind and within all things-giving, maintaining and sustaining all individual beings. This was the goal presented to us by Christ and many others. Most of them shared the same vision, the same realization and the same understanding. Such teachers were held in high esteem, but most of their followers misunderstood what they were being taught. Each follower placed their own interpretation on their teacher's words. Each follower's interpretation arose out of their personal conditioning and bias.

I find it very interesting that people go into these crowds, hear Jesus being preached, and then argue with them as if they were condemning them. However, as I watch these videos, there is a consistency in things that they preach and debate. Love is ultimately their goal and I find it very encouraging to see their courage and heart! What I dislike is when people repost the clips from these videos saying, “Muslim getting owned by Cliffe”. How can that show the love of God? (not saying that Cliffe or Stuart are showing a lack of love, but the boastful bunch who reposts the clips). Love these videos and cannot wait to see more!

Cliffe!! That young man insults you right off the bat. That broke my heart because you are so kind!! I'm watching this in 2024, and comparing it to the debates that are happening on college campuses all over the country these days, with people like, Charlie Kirk, and Candace Owens. Kirk and Owens are having debates about politics, and you're debating about God. And it's so wonderful to see you debating college students and observing the intelligent exchange between individuals who have respect for each other. So I was so thrown off by that person speaking to you in that manner. I pray that you haven't come across people like that very often. Your nature and your approach doesn't warrant any of that, in my opinion. Nor does Candace Owens or Charlie Kirk warrant the insane and violent attacks that they endure in debates with college students today. But the people who are in the university are today, are not the same kind of people that were present when you and your son were recording videos like this one. God bless you, and God bless Stewart! You're doing great work! And God bless these young people too. Okay I just realized this is recorded in 2023. Wow! Maybe it's the subject matter. Maybe it's because you're discussing God and the scriptures and Jesus Christ, maybe that's why your audience is so much more respectful Then the audience is in the videos posted by Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens? I don't know! Wow!
