Rabbinic Judaism trades the Torah for the traditions of men. In the Sanhedrin Tractate, concerning Exodus 23:2, which says you must not follow the majority neccesarily to decide a case, Hazal pulled out the 3 words "follow a multitude" and ignored not and so any majority rule would be binding upon Jews, but this is contrary to the Torah. They pulled out the 3 words “follow a multitude”, while ignoring the word “NOT”, which appears before them, and claimed that, as long as there is a majority of rabbis, they may provide an interpretation or a ruling on any matter, as they see fit. And the people of Israel must follow them blindly and that, once they have provided a ruling, it is to be indisputably received. But regardless, there is no basis, neither historical nor Biblical, to prove that an Oral Law was given to Moses on Mount Sinai. In fact, a historical and theological examination proves that the opposite is correct. After all, if the “Oral Law” was in fact given to Moses on Mount Sinai, the reader could expect to see thousands of mentions of it throughout the scripture. However, God never mentions it. Moses never used the term “Oral Law” either. Even Joshua Ben Nun, who was appointed by God as Moses’ successor, provides no indication of an oral Halacha. God tells Joshua to meditate in the Torah: “That you may observe to do according to all that is WRITTEN in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” [Joshua 1:8] Ezra the Scribe, who reintroduced the Torah to our people 2500 years ago, never wrote a single word about any Oral Law. Not a single one of Israel’s prophets of kings ever referred to an oral Halacha; No one ever talked about it, mentioned it, or even hinted to its existence.

Romans 8: The law of the Spirit, alive in Christ Jesus, has set us free from the law of sin and death. The law of Moses was unable to save us because of the weakness of our sin nature. So God did what the law could not do. He sent His own Son... If the Mosaic Law cannot save anyone now, per this, per Acts 4:12, per John 3:5, John 8:24, then the Noahide laws won't either.

@Yoel CohenThat's not even necessary now given what I posted from Romans 8, Acts, John, etc. And stay away from Rabbic Judaism as it trades the Torah for the traditions of men as you can see concerning that specific Sanhedrin Tractate. Again: In the Sanhedrin Tractate, concerning Exodus 23:2, which says you must not follow the majority neccesarily to decide a case, Hazal pulled out the 3 words "follow a multitude" and ignored not and so any majority rule would be binding upon Jews, but this is contrary to the Torah.

@Yoel Cohen Secondly, provide the names of those after the times of the prophets going back to say Samuel who passed the Oral Torah down and prove they existed.

9:20 "Qualified representative, someone with scholarship and background, recognized in your community" - That counts out Yeshua, Simon Peter, Barnabas, John the apostle, John the baptizer, Andrew, Barholomew, Jacob the brother of Yeshua, Jude, Matthias, etc.

I like dr brown but the idea that you need credentials to debate him is silly. It sounds like something a Pharisee would have said to yeshua. “You don’t have the credentials to even publicly question what we teach or say”.
@trenton93 жыл бұрын
It's not about someone not having creditials to question something. It's about the purpose of the debate. If the debate opponent doesn't represent the position well, it's unfair to the people he supposedly represents. You end up with the people who were supposed to be represented claiming the debater did a terrible job of defending the position. Then maybe a second debate takes place with a more qualified opponent to correct for the first debate. Rather than go through all the extra, it's best to debate a qualified opponent the first time around.
@SabastianDuke3 жыл бұрын
@@trenton9 Again, this is operating under the assumption that someone needs to be handed a piece of paper to give some credit and to give their word more weight. Not to toot my own horn, but I’ve decimated college educated biblical scholars before and I’ve personally witnessed it from other “not qualified” people. As long as someone knows how to properly debate, knows the rules of debate and how to properly convey your point, there shouldn’t be a requirement of a piece of paper. If someone has proven themselves in debate before or shows an aptitude for understanding the subject deeply then I’ve should be open for it. I understand that some people could be wasting time because they don’t properly understand the subject matter, but that’s why they should have some evidence of being knowledgeable about it.
@trenton93 жыл бұрын
@@SabastianDuke Who said a degree constitutes the creditals spoken of? The creditials concern whether the person actually represents the case they're arguing to such a degree that he fairly represents the many sharing same view. Otherwise, you're debating with someone but it's not serving the public discourse if the very people your opponent represents sees him as woefully not representative.
@drummerboy7372 жыл бұрын
@@trenton9 objectively you are relying on a peice of paper and not the arguments. I just observed his complaint manifest itself immediately in your response. Do you notice what he is saying? Viewers can use reasoning. The "groups" don't matter if the argument is evident. If the position is clear then obey the truth of the matter. Infinite certificates don't make a lie credible and so that's the importance of allowing anyone to ask a question. This thing leads me to believe there is a reason it's deleted when the video could have just been used as evidence to make his point.
@trenton92 жыл бұрын
@drummerboy737 It's not about infinite certificates. It's about entering debates which have maximum impact - that people can't point to and just say "well, he wasn't qualified to represent our position."

All people have to do is research for themselves and you can find the truth on this issue. There is much out there from both camps and much to dig into from Jewish websites and historical writings. I, for one, believe there is much to be concerned about. I believe the evidence I have found and the presentations of other researchers warrant much more attention and research on my part.

I'm pretty sure Jesus wasnt what you call "scholarship" or respected within his community. God always chooses the foolish to confound the wise. You might want to stop looking at those YOU think are qualified and look for those Yhwh has qualified.

The statements made by brown are total rubbish. What he refuses to except is that Judaism is for all mankind. No one is going to behead anyone, False Theology! He does not have proper information at covenant. God is the God of all mankind, his instructions (Torah) for all mankind, that is, how to treat one another, how to do business, and how to worship God. Read the Psalms to include 119 also, Proverbs chapters 1-9. The prophets are included in the Hebrew Bible to point out man's sins, the writings tells us how to make repentance. Brown's ignorance of Judaism is astounding.

What do you mean by "No one is going to behead anyone, False Theology!" are you saying that violators of Noahide Laws are not beheaded for Idolatry or Blasphemy? Or they are Beheaded for Idolatry and Blasphemy, and Michael Brown is explicitly wrong for denying this, because that's what he's doing
