let me give you some info about Turkish barbers. They start this job when they were kid.Their master is like their second father. Their biological father says: you can do anything to him, you are his master and they trust masters. So they learn the job from their masters until they have enough money to open a new barbershop. This is how it works in Turkey

Barber knows his job. Against the grain is not possible with his pre shave applications so he is complete his shave with electric shaver. I am also choose sometimes if my skin not handshake with my de razor.

I was expecting the barber to use wax on the upper cheeks and burn the ear hair sticking out! Yep, that’s what I get over there. Hair cut & shave together is the best experience. This is a lost art in US. Unless you find the right place in major cities you r stuck with Great Clips and Supercuts. Shaving? They quit doing it years ago.

@@memphusyou do realise if you go properly downward with a straightedge you wouldnt get all of the hair anyway since only going upwards can do that but makes ingrown hairs do to how deep you can get into the pores by going up hence the reason for a foil shaver so he doesnt get under the skin wile shaving up. thats just my theory on it since i use a straightedge personally.

We would definitely like to see you, I can take you around here, there is a Greek school here, there is an ecumenical patriarchate. and many more historical buildings.
