Askellad may have life the lifes of scums but he was a real one. He died the same way he lived with pride. He may have done a lot of bad things but he always cared for the future and a better life for the one's he cared about. He made canute the confident king he is now and led thorfinn back to the right path to become a real warrior. He was the protagonist of the prologue
