Thats for steaks, roasts, stew meat, brisket and TONS of prepacaged hamburger! MUCH more at an average of 7.51 per pound! All meat vacuum sealed and labeled! Go to a grocery store and try to buy a steak for 7.51 per pound - GRASS FED and HUMANLY RAISED! -- NOT --Garage freezer is full!!! No more grocery store trips for meat for about 2 years! I started my carnivore diet on 4/3/2023. In July 2020, I was diagnosed with borderline lupus. I've had inflammation throughout my body for almost 3 yrs. Today is my 3rd day, and for the first time, I woke up with no pain... and I do have more energy. This is great. I'm full most of the days and I don't feel like eating chocolate (which I love and almost had every day).

My favorite tip is to eat cold fat instead of hot liquid, rendered fat. This is my third try on starting carnivore. The other times I could not take the weeks of diarrhea. This time, almost no loose bowels! That has made all the difference. Thank you for clarifying that. Someone told me the problem was rendered fats, but I did not understand the solution at that time.

I find raw dairy best. I avoid yogurt. Milk protein/molecule gets more gunky in our bodies when heated over 142.7F. Some cheese makers make clear on keeping below that temperature, such as 135F on down lower. Some 'raw cheese' is sold which is processed at 158F. 161F is the official pasteurized temperature.

Day 64 on the carnivore diet. I started with ribeyes, eggs, ghee, and beef tallow, but since day 43 it has been only beef, salt and water for SIBO, histamine intolerance, leaky gut, and celiac Main symptoms were bloating (I didn't realize how bad until I started carnivore and now experience NONE) and rashes everywhere. I only eat at around noon and at about 6 pm, and total food for the day is around a kilo, or 2.2 lbs of beef. I don't snack and it is not a struggle at all, I really only start to feel hungry when lunch and dinner time are near. My rashes got much worse for the first 6-8 weeks, which is why I went strict beef, water, salt, to eliminate the possibility that eggs, ghee, or tallow was part of the problem still in my diet. Since I knew about oxalate dumping and the detox process I stayed the course. Today is the first day that it seems like I don't have fresh rashes and what is left is drying up and healing. 11 years living with this problem after strep throat and 2 rounds of antibiotics. I have never felt this good at any point in my life physically and mentally. Fitness and diet have been important for me since before the problems started, but the diet part I was getting wrong even though it was considered healthy. At about the 6 week mark I noticed that I felt stronger and more in control during my workouts than ever before. That hasn't stopped yet. I'm able to add extra weight to every workout, and I'm barely sore the day after. I can't believe the gains I'm making on this diet. I only take 4000 IU of vitamin D, and a few drops of iodine for supplements daily. When I started I weighed 165lbs (I'm 6 feet tall and 39 years old). Weight loss was not on the agenda, but I weighed myself today and I am 154lbs. 11lbs in 2 months. I can't even hide my abs if I tried, they just stick out all the time😂 Before I began carnivore, I started a treatment that a team of specialists made for me based on all the bloodwork and tests and was taking over a dozen supplements during each phase of treatment. The funny thing is, literally the first thing I was told was that I was eating TOO MUCH red meat! Now that is the only thing I eat! I don't even know how much I blew on supplements, but it was significant because I live in Latin America now and they aren't cheap to get here. What a waste of 2 years following the treatment. I plan on continuing the lions diet until my skin is completely healed. Then I will look at slowly adding more carnivore foods one at a time to the diet to make sure I tolerate them before permanently adding it. I might end up ketovore in the end because I'd love to add things like avocado, coconut and coconut water to my diet. Whatever I do, it will be a diet that keeps me in ketosis, because damn, I can't believe how good I feel on no carbs! I share my story only in hopes that it will give someone else who struggles with mysterious health problems the courage to give this diet an honest try. I'm convinced that anyone who does the diet for 6-8 weeks will realize that WE ARE CARNIVORES, or at the very least, ketovores, when times were tough and meat was hard to come by. Good luck to everyone on their journey to optimal health!

1. Keep it simple: Meat, Eggs, Butter, Water, Salt. 2. Once you know about it, get on it. (Just do it.) 3. Eating enough fat. 4. Caution with hot fat, replace with cold, solid fat if necessary (e.g. butter, tallow, grease). 5. Make the 7 essential movements easy one after another. 6. Do it for yourself. 7. Struggle is okay. Overcome that struggle. 8. Find community, do it together. (Friend, social platform,..) 9. Prep up your fridge/ freezer with meat, butter and eggs. Don't keep the old stuff. 10. Listen to your body and enjoy the journey. 11. Keep at it. You'll succeed on the long term. Tips without order, not complete. @barblacy619
@barblacy619 Жыл бұрын
@@azericanavar1 liquid or warmed up fat tends to cause diarrhea. Cold, solid fat generally does not. That’s why some eat slices of cold butter or tallow (beef fat) as a side dish. You want the nutrition from the fat but if you can’t digest it (diarrhea) you can’t reap the benefits. Your tolerance to warm fat will grow with time. Everyone needs to experiment. Hope this helps.

I LOVE to switch up to chicken!! So, I boil up about 4 chicken thighs, then when done, I drain off the hot water, and give them a cold water water bath. While my chicken is cooling, I fry up about 6 strips of bacon and remove them from the pan when they're done. I add about 1 more TBS of bacon grease to my pan, then add my cold chicken...CUT UP, then crumble up my bacon and add that to the pan too, and mix it together thoroughly. I put that into a bowl and add a couple of TBS of butter for more fat. YUMMY

I've never been a mince meat eater in my life until now so I started eating chicken drum sticks cooked in lots butter then I eat cold and the butter cold too. Then on the third day I cook mince beef in butter and a lil salt. I'm enjoying eating chicken and minced beef and some times a lil cheese. Oh my the dairy, meat here in Sweden is sooo good. I'm doing well, eating when I'm hungry, stop until I'm full with some water about 20 mins later. Only once I was feeling nauseous and it was because I ate warm butter with eggs, after that I'm great. I'm taking it slow and easy on myself. I can see an improvement in my health alrwadt and oh yes loving the fish here too ...sooo Greatful to be living in a country with sooo much good food for a carnivore. It's best to buy some freezer storage bags so you can open the bulk pack and then pack each steak separately in their own bag, that way you don't have a huge pile of steaks all frozen together, you can just take one out and thaw it any time.

A way to preserve butter (in case the lights go out) is in a butter "bell", Bella. No need for refrigeration, and ready to spread. Not cold, though. The butter is kept under water so no air gets to it to produce rancidity. It holds half a stick a butter at a time.

@@Wonderpattypatty Hiya, Patty. Do a search for it, and you will find all you need. Here is a brief description: "A butter bell (also commonly called a butter crock or butter keeper) comes in two pieces: a cone or cup shaped container with a non-removable, saucer-like base, and a larger cup - both are usually made of ceramic.Your butter is placed in the the smaller cone/cup (it's best to use soft, but not too soft/melty, butter when adding it), and cold water is placed in the larger cup. The butter cone is then placed, butter side down into the cup containing the water. Until you get used to using it, you should do this step over the sink, as water may overflow out. After a few goes, you'll figure out just how much water you need by sight, but to be clear… the butter should touch the water. What you're doing is preventing any air from coming into contact with the surface of the butter, effectively sealing it off from the air and preventing spoilage."

@@espianmashias9565 Depends on your goals & tolerance levels. Many carnivores are eating 60-70% just naturally with the meats they choose. When I first went keto 4 years ago for inflammation I was eating around 75% fat & shed 30 lbs in 3 months & resolved most of my arthritis pain as well. I'm now mostly meat based but do eat some vegetables & berries & without actually measuring I'd say I'm around 50-60% most days. The real key is to eat slowly to satiety & eat only if you're hungry.

So I've watched several videos now, and I keep hearing electrolyte deficiencies are a common issue for the carnivore diet. I would reccomend that instead of supplementing with pills and packets, make your own bone broth. This is actually the best source for electrolytes and all you need is bones water and sea salt! Simmering or boiling bones for long periods draws out all the minerals in the bones into the broth, which contain high amounts of magnesium and calcium as well as gelatin, collogin, selenium etc!

Wow! 42 hours for a chuck roast ... how tough is that cut (I've never had one)? I took advantage of a Costco deal recently and bought up several round eye roasts which are known to be tough cuts. I sous vide right in the vacuum sealed packaging at 131 degrees for 18 hours (found the times online) and it's almost *too* tender. Melts in the mouth. I start it about 10pm and it's ready for dinner the next day. Pop it under the broiler with some added butter and bacon fat to brown ... very tasty!

I added 2 cups water, 1 tablespoon each tomato paste and better than bullion beef flavor and a few table spoons butter. Close the lid and hit the meat setting for 1 hour. I shredded it with 2 forks. If you are also feeding non carnivores, remove the meat and add their veggies and cook a few minutes more before making their gravy or in my case using 2 cups of the liquid to cook 2 more roasts. I also appreciated that several said have enough fat; there are a few pushing higher protein lower fat (aka PSMF) and it is so discouraging/triggering, like I've already had to give up rice, potatoes, and sugar, and now you want my butter? Adding beef fat trimmings has changed my success; they are inexpensive, satisfying, and drastically reduced my cravings!

The "buy in bulk" is great, better still if you buy the "primal" or the whole cut of Ribeye, Sirloin, Strip Steak, etc. You get the bulk amount and by getting it that way you can save $1-$5 per pound. There are plenty of youtube videos on how to cut meat into eating-size portions. The meat cutter at my local Sam's Club even offered to cut one up for no extra charge, so you may not need to be your own butcher. If you do go for cutting it yourself all you really need is a cutting board/ surface big enough for the piece of meat you're cutting, and a sharp knife of appropriate size for said piece of meat.

I can't do most of those things you talked about-- CAn't lunge- can't squat yet-- I can bend over fine. (Got mashed between two trucks in 99 and STILL getting over that.) BUT I AM working on it- have been for 24 years-- but now- I'm feeling better- finally--- after a YEAR with NO improvements-- make MORE improvements in the last week than in the last YeAR altogether.
