All Great advice! I’d like to add one more piece. I felt like I was force feeding myself beef in the beginning and couldn’t get over the fact that I had come to hate the taste of beef. I used to love beef! I realized that it wasn’t the taste of beef I hated, it was where I was getting the beef. I talked to the manager of the meat department at Kroger and found out that they were buying their beef prepackaged from China. I started buying all my meat from the local butcher shop, and that changed everything. The taste and texture were amazing and every meal became a treat. I then found a regenerative farm in the heart of the poshest neighborhood in Cincinnati. I think you’ll find that the prices are cheaper than your grocery chain store, and the quality of the beef, chicken, and pork. Is a million times better! It’s probably in my head, but when I eat the meat from the regenerative farm, I feel better inside. Good luck to u all on your carnivore journey ❤

Amazing to see how this has grown. I’ve been carnivore for 7 years and when I started it was pretty much just a fringe movement. Shawn Baker was only posting videos of himself rowing and hadn’t started his company. One tip you kind of touched on that is extremely helpful, especially to people starting out, is having precooked foods ready at all times. If you’re hungry the thought of having to wait a half hour while you cook something can be enough for people to reach for something else. I always had a plate of chicken in the fridge to heat up at a moments notice. Anyway, good luck. After a certain length of time the other stuff doesn’t even look like food anymore.

@RebekkaHay Worded as such yours isn't, to the point that even your intentions are dubious? He never said let's all deny that. Stay off the scale for a YEAR!! Throw the scale AWAY!! I’m at one year carnivore and that’s my #1 piece of advice.
@Zaandick7 ай бұрын
Agree. Threw mine away about 10 years ago. I only have a rough idea of what I weigh but not exactly. I go on how my clothes fit. Been 31" waist for years.

TOTALLY AGREE! I am about 6-7 weeks into this attempt and it has been a game changer. I guess I finally realized how much stress and false good and false bad emotion it was causing. This forces me just to focus on how good I feel and that is not only working, but it’s ultimately all that really matters anyway! It is fun to notice that clothes are getting loose but ultimately the feeling good both mentally and physically is what it’s all about and I don’t have to wait a year for that. I got it within the first couple of days and want it to continue. i’m quite certain that I will intentionally weigh myself at some point or accidentally see like a doctors office or something, but I presently have no plans to look anytime soon.

I too slept just 4-5 hours for the first six months. Now I have seven hours of the deepest most restful sleep. I eat 1-2 tablespoons of butter before bed. Sometimes I melt butter in hot water to sip in the evening. The fat levels out blood sugar so you sleep longer.

Thanks for the suggestion. I may try that!

@maritaberndt6200 I don't know why you personally are still tired after a couple months, but for me I found I wasn't getting enough electrolytes daily. I started to feel better more often when I uped the amount of electrolytes. I buy and take electrolytes in pill form, so the rest of the day I just salt my food to my liking. For my budget LMNT was too expensive for me. So stay hydrated throughtout the day and up your electrolytes daily, hopefully that is all it is for you.

I’ve been doing strict carnivore for six or seven weeks and I gained 9 pounds and I was trying to lose 30 so I’m not happy with that. I dropped all cream and cheese about a week ago and the scale dropped a couple pounds. my health conditions have improved a lot. one and a half blood pressure medication has been deleted and another urine medication I had stopped, my sleep is improving and my muscles are far more defined. My body weight is much higher than when I started and I wanted to lose 30 pounds when I started. And my clothes are a bit tighter and I can see in the mirror and my body is bigger. I will continue and see if in three or four months if my body becomes leaner. I’d like to have a BMI of 20.

I am retired, live on a fixed income, and love the idea of the carnivore diet to lose weight. But eating beef daily is a luxury on my budget. So, I've been eating mostly chicken and pork. I've been eating grass-fed ground beef a couple times a week. So, to eat beef daily, I've had to think outside the box...correction, I've had to think 'inside' the box. A box freezer to be more exact. The freezer I bought was on sale and very reasonably priced. In the past, I've wasted food due to spoilage just sitting in my refrigerator. The freezer has reduced spoilage so eventually, I will break even. I now buy beef and other meats in bulk. The Cryovac chuck roll is currently $5.98 a pound (at 16 - 20 pounds average) at Sam's Club which is about what I've been paying for grass-fed ground beef. So, it's now affordable for me to eat beef daily on my budget. Plus, I get steaks and roasts and grind my own burgers. I just had to learn how to be my own butcher. It's not that difficult with practice.

I looked fine (5'2" 105 lbs) at 87, going carnivore to fight a fungating breast tumor, and one month later looked like a Dachau prisoner at 85 lbs, even though I included raw milk cheese, pasture raised eggs and dairy. Not everyone is fat to start with. The diet and fenben are helping me to heal. I do walking on a rebounder and lift 8 lb hand weights. My grip strength dynamometer shows grip ability is two lbs. less than it was. Just sayin' - we are not all the same.❤
@devaapurna6089 ай бұрын
@@SpeakTruthBeKind I wish. My appetite is always there. Eat grass fed, grass-finished ground beef with egg, white shredded cheddar and home made bacon bits mixed in. Free range baked chicken browned in grass fed beef tallow, red bell peppers stuffed with lactose free cream cheese (Trader Joe's) and raw milk Compte cheese from France (TJ's again). One cup of mushroom coffee a day with a liberal dollop of heavy organic whipping cream..All quite tasty and I have no lack of appetite. Also a couple of cups a day of 50/50 water and organic beef bone broth with two teaspoons of raw ACL. Afraid it's diminishing muscle mass from not enough weight bearing exercise - as muscle weighs 2/3 more per volume weight than fat. Am so resistant, but found and dragged out my five and eight lb. hand weights. Ugh.🙄😬😌🎇

@@Kerrin77JIH This is funny. I mean your perfect timing is! I'm just ending a two day anti-cancer (to spur autophagy) water fast. Was so weak I searched what I could have without breaking the fast - black coffee and BUTTER. Never interested ever in butter (by itself) pre-carnivore, despite its kudos from steak and butter gal. Yesterday and today I had a couple of pats of organic (grass fed source) with a sprinkle of Redmond's salt and wow, SO delicious. It made all the difference and I also added a couple of butter pats to the one cup of coffee I nursed all day. Did not care that the coffee butter was cold flakes at day's end. Very helpful! I changed my life physically in my late 50's a few years ago going meat-heavy clean KETO with Intermittent fasting and feel amazing. Lost a 100 lbs. Gained some of it back, but it's mostly muscle due to strength training after I lost the weight. I have been cheating a lot the last 6 months and maybe a strict stretch of Carnivore is the way to go. Feel like I can do even better than I already have done. Thanks again for the tips!
