I understand perfectly well why billionaires need business jets, but as an aviator, it pains me to look at such a huge amount of empty space in his jet. You don't need such a distance between the seats, nor such a high ceiling. An airplane doesn't have to try to be the size of a home movie theater. These non-essential things add a tremendous amount to the cost of the jet and the cost of its operation. Not to mention the fuel burn - because of transporting so much empty space, the pollution from this jet is MUCH greater than it could be. Comfort in a private jet should be no more than comfort in a good car. Anything more is absolute economic inefficiency, ignorance, and selfishness.

There was a scene in the movie Boiler Room where they're trying to sell a stock to someone and his supervisor was motioning to him to stay silent and let the guy he was pitching the stock to say the next thing. Silence can be a powerful tool when 2 people are talking. Sooner or later someone's gotta break that silence and it's usually the guy you want information (or money) from to be the one to speak next. That’s because we’re always exposed to the flashy wealthy people in the media who want everybody to know what they have and enjoy flaunting themselves for attention. They make money by creating an illusion which leads them to connect with the right people. The wealthy introverts couldn’t care less about the limelight because they make money by using their intelligence, which is a lot more graceful and brings far less enemies or problems down the road. They started with humble intentions and a wholesome foundation. Building relationships is an important skill to have but yearning for acceptance and attention vs. not caring about those things is what separates the two.

@@dreamraver Thank you for your reply. Climate change had always existed. This is a natural phenomenon. In this natural state those changes take place over very long period of thousands of years. And life follows. Or not. During glaciation period many species disappear. The problem now is that this is happening over the course of 200 hundred years. Which means that nature (flora and fauna) will not have time to adapt. The problem we have is not only fuel consumption. This is only a small part of it actually. To build this plane it has taken a lot of wood (to produce coal), a lot of coal (to produce metal), a lot of metal and lot of other stuff I don’t know ‘cause I’m not a plane designer. But one thing that I know is that those ressources are taken from forests and mines and in the process nature is destroyed. This is a reality. Just look for “mine rehabilitation” , “mine impact” just right here. And look for “deforestation” as well. There are visual proofs to that. As well as humans. Because hundreds of thousands of people over the world are losing their farms, their forests, their access to clean water, their livelihood just right now as a consequence of deferorestation alone. Then there is the garbage problem. Have you heard of the “garbage patch”. Just check it out, it’s dreadful. And there is the melting of the ice in the north. These problems are real. Otherwise it would mean that hundreds of thousands of journalists, social workers, photographs, mine workers, CEO, managers, google employees, youtubers, etc. are lying to us. So how does that work? All those people from many different countries are employed by some special secret place that ask them to lie to the rest of the population? To us. But aren’t those people “us” as well? If there is a liar, I would believe these are the powerful people who get money from lobbying in order to let some people carrying on getting the big money from this destruction. An average person in a rich country uses a lot of ressources. Like a LOT. Through indirect uses too. Like all the goods coming from China. That are made by burning coal. And that does not even includes vehicles. So a guy flying in a private jet. Forget about it. That’s what I meant by “more people in private jet” I’ll be happy to answer any other questions.

Either we shrink down to something like a billion people (or even less), and that's apparently the goal of the "elites" if we again believe the conspiracy theories (which shall not the topic here), or we revert our so called development and go back to a pre-industrialization lifestyle. Who wants that? Nobody, I guess. So I am pro further development in order to figure out how we can save resources, reuse and recycle them, replace them with natural materials etc.. There are efforts being done already which go in that direction. Well, I agree that even then it will naturally not be the solution to buy more private jets by people like him. But that's not what I meant. I was rather talking about the can-do mindset of that guy and how he apparently tries to use his money to make an impact. And if he sees the jet as a necessary tool to achieve his goals, then let him use it. I can't judge his case. But I can imagine that it makes sense for some of "such" people (but by far not for all) as the pros might totally outweigh the cons.

Mad respect to who James is as a person. He has demonstrated that he’s not just some soulless billionaire. He is a deep thinker who values life, genuine connection, hard work, no BS, mental/physical health, being trauma informed, and making a meaningful impact on society. “The Body Keeps The Score” is one of my favorite books. I was excited to hear him mention it. What stuck out to me the most in this conversation was the emphasis on being healthy. I loved his prediction that the economy is going to shift from being materialistic to more fulfilling each others needs interpersonally. “Not so much monetarily…but emotionally.” That sounds amazing! We all need that. I am very hopeful for that type of cultural shift. Favorite quote from this conversation: “Life is about the quality of your emotions”. For me, I modulate my emotions through god and the belief itself changed my brain and I’ll explain how. Every day I wake up, I know that I’ve been given life in order to enjoy the priceless things god intended for me to enjoy like love and suffering. That’s not to say I don’t want to crush it in business because financial freedom is something I really want. Your consciousness didn’t always exist and it arose from what seemed to be nothing and you, and multiple others, were given this gift of life. Oftentimes the unhappiness just comes from the way you think about life and it’s curated from nothing but what resides in the mind. As a little kid you appreciated everything because everything was new to you, and were unafraid of people’s judgement when it comes to how you had fun and expressed yourself. Go do something that’s new and thank god for it. We were the most happy and most alive as kids. I find the most joy in helping other people become stronger and happier.
