ASKING BELFAST: What’s Life Really Like Here?

I have lived in Belfast for 4 years, and had a chance to work with'm for almost 2 years. And I can witness, they are so kind, nice people, very welcoming. I was a little bit affraid when I got there, but, we have learned to know each other, day after day...I really miss Belfast:( and people I worked with. Have a good one Cheers... hehe I recognised the Italian, singing every day, or almost...very nice voice :) and Elvis Prestley

I know an English guy who went to Queens University in the middle of the troubles ( 1982). He put Queens down as 5th choice on his Universiies application form as a joke. As it happened Queens Belfast was the only Uni that accepted his grades. He came over to " bomb city" a terrified young man. Over 40 years later hes still there. He was amazed by the warmth of the people despite the troubles and divisions.

@ hola, La verdad que está bien,es una pequeña capital que tiene más o menos de todo y económicamente la veo bien ,imagino que dependería de lo que busques pero yo siempre he trabajado sin problema. La ciudad tiene una historia muy interesante dolorosa pero interesante y es un poco vivir en dos mundos Reino Unido e Irlanda. Lo mejor es lo bonito que es Irlanda del norte muy rural y muy verde con poca población. La vida tampoco es muy cara,sin duda te la recomiendo creo que te gustará. Feliz navidad para ti también paisano.

I live in England and I've just come back from Belfast 3 hours ago. I'm not joking when I say this. The people are the best people on earth. The pubs are great, it's clean, it's interesting but CEX didn't stock many Xbox 360 games and the record shops didn't stock much heavy metal but that's my only complaint

We’re nice to outsiders, but when it comes to actual good relations between all across Belfast were severely lacking

Beautiful city. My favorite pints were from Bittles, The Crown, Garricks, Dirty Onion, and Duke of York. Wow I've got a drinking problem.
