I see a lot of confusion in the comments. Black Americans, We have our on culture. The way we cook, the way we talk, how we look, how we dress, certain words we use, the inventions we’ve created, the mile marks we’ve surpassed, etc. etc…. But yet the world takes on everything we do and the benefits of Black Americans but knows little to no Black American history let alone gives Black Americans credit. So he’s showing them we are not the same, or as Kendrick Lamar would say “ they not like us “ 😂 couldn’t help that (Not only that , but down talks Blacks in America as if we’re slow or dumb. ) Therefore what we’ve built, and having our own, separates us from other cultures. We are not all the same. And everyone’s first go to is , blacks in America Dnt know where we come from. As if the salve owners kept paperwork from hundreds and hundreds of years on what region or tribe our ancestors came from when they first arrived is crazy. They had paperwork on who owned who. But the native tongue that our ancestors spoke when they first arrived, was washed out with every birth, because English was the taught language for every child born. Not only that but family’s were split up, kids taken from mothers, fathers sold over here , mothers sold over. Just for breeding purposes. So it’s much more to us not knowing. So with that being said , Black Americans is its own race of people, you won’t find any Black Americans anywhere else outside the states, unless they move there…. That’s one thing, but Black America as a whole has influenced the world in one way or another.

I mean all countries are made up and most are named after something that has nothing to do with people. Puerto Rico translates to Rich Port. But if you go to PR there aren't many rich people. Well maybe that refers to the land, it's nothing but wood and water, wait that's what Jamaica means. Liberia derives from Liberty and was a country inhabited by former American slaves, even their president was American. Dominican translates to Lord. Greenland was named such as a marketing trick. Palestine isn't a recognized country yet there are people all over who claim to be from Palestine or descendants of Palestinians. The word nation is defined as a large body of people united by common descent, history, culture, or language, inhabiting a particular country or territory. In many countries there are several nations of people. In the U.S we have maybe Americans, they have their own nation, we have the Amish, they have their own nation. We have holidays for select groups of people, that's a nation. In some African countries you have different tribes/groups people descend from , those are all separate Nations inside of a country.

Then you guys see social media vids, and think everyone is dumb. When most do dumb things just for views, Or say it’s dumb we don’t know where we come from, like it’s something we should know from being passed down or the slave owners kept paperwork for hundreds of years of what region our ancestors were taken from. When In fact most weren’t even allowed to talk to each other. Not only that but the ancestors who came over spoke there native language. When they had children, those kids had to be taught the English language. So if you really dig into wanting to know our black history, it gets deep. Why would they know the black national anthem? This is a testament to american arrogance and ignorance. Thats black american history, not the history of the entire world. Do you know the british national anthem? Do you know the national anthem of any African or Caribbean, or black South American Nation (I.e. Guyana) ? Do you know the civil righrs leaders or plights of south america? Every diaspora doesnt consider themselves to be an entirely diff country from the country they live in. They might not want a british national anthem just for black people. Can you name 3 non american black inventors or inventions without using google? Why would they know of yours? Majority of black people in america cant name 10 black inventors without google. Majority couldnt even name 10 american inventors, regardless of race without google. And majority dont even know lift every voice and sing for one verse. I'd put any amount of money on that, but they know the entire new lil baby album.

Yes, it is a fact that Black Americans/ FBAs 🇺🇸 are directly responsible for the modernization of the American English dialect. We took the Brit’s English dialect and added our cultural flavor to it. Black American 🇺🇸 cultural vernacular continues to evolve and have dominated global Pop culture for centuries. We are a global natural resource within ourselves.

The English language never started in Germany it's a mix of languages, English is Latin too, it's only 26% Germanic. Don't tell the world this as it's a very big misconception it's like saying French/Spanish started in Italy when it never. It came from Latin just like English did too. Google it a little more brother. English started here even when the Romans were here and the barbarians arrived and invaded but it was mixed with many others too. Latin 29% French 29% Greek 6% ect It's actually Latin but the in between words are (the,is,are ect) are Germanic. Old English is much closer to German than modern English.

Thank you for this because folk always want to say that we don't have a culture. Africans, Jamaicans, PR, etc., have all said that we don't have a culture while they are cosplaying Black Americans. In America, they go out of their way to hide their accents and practice sounding like Black Americans while adopting our language and slang; they wear Hip-Hop gear that was inspired by and designed for Black Americans (the designers certainly weren't inspired by white Americans and didn't design Hip-Hop/urban wear for them as the primary consumer); the females rock Black American hairstyles (knowing they NEVER had babyhairs, not even when they were a baby) and the males run to Black American barbers for "crispy hairlines/lineups"; etc. Just recently, Jamaicans and PR said that Black Americans don't have culture. However, they are totally engrossed in Hip-Hop, which was started by Black Americans. WHITE FOLK don't even say stuff like that about us, but other "Black" folk say that about Black Americans. The same people who got upset back in the day if anyone called them "Black". They would deny being Black and say that they were Jamaican, PR, Dominican, etc. Why try to identify as just Black now? It's so disingenuous. Then they gaslight and say that we are all one/the same people and need to unite. But, the TRUTH of the matter is we are not the same. Black Americans are called devisive, but Jamaicans, PR, Dominicans, Africans can all celebrate their distinct lineage and heritage without being labeled as "devisive". Some people just cannot be genuine and operate with good intentions.
