I don't know if this is only chronically online Americans, but I've seen a lot of African Americans claim they are the real Egyptians, Japanese & Jews instead of acknowledging their West African heritage
@JVfromthecreek2 ай бұрын
@@laorlex a lot of people have different backgrounds. Some do come from Asiatic Negrritoes, Swarthy European Moors, Mississippians/Cahokian (Egyptian) & even the American Indians had some Hebrew/Jew ancestry. Only a small percentage are West African and they claim it proudly because the slave trade was HEAVILY documented; as well as the reclassifications.
@laorlexАй бұрын
@@JVfromthecreek My bad for long text, I'm a professional yapper. I wouldn't be surprised if you decided not to read it. Now, you can indeed have heritage from these backgrounds, no one will deny that, but they are not those backgrounds, nor are they the real identities of those backgrounds. Its not a "small percentage" of African Americans that are West African. The entire basis around being "African American" is that their main component is their West African lineage. 400k Africans were traded across to North America during the transatlantic slave trade. Studies show 70-90% of African American lineage is West African and its no surprise, you can see the West African from their appearance. Any other DNA are a minority that are considered after the fact. Some have small amounts of native American or Indian DNA etc, yet it's so small and marginalised due to next generations of AA being with other AA. The existence of those lines are so small that they shouldn't even be considered, scientists suggest any heritage percentage from 0-3% shouldn't even be considered, they're not accurate, they're just guesses based on similar regional genetic structure. The highest heritage other than West African include a European ancestry, and even then, that's only due to the slavery. Full AA will have mainly West African genes, and then have around 5-30% European genes, unless they're biracial w/ White & Black parents or a Biracial & One sided parent. Even then, I'm confused on why its AA that believe they are different people, yet only 400k Africans were in the USA. In South America, over 14 Million Africans were sent there, and they have a better understanding of their culture before slavery. Its greatly integrated into their modern day cultures, such as Brazilian Carnivals being a combination of African, Iberian, & Native American festivals. If any Jew or etc DNA was found to be present, then that's only due to the European part of their heritage having jew in their bloodline, and even then those Europeans most-likely don't recognise the jew in them, like modern day Europeans. If anything, claiming to be anything other than African/Black American besides an identify that was created without any other heritage, such as "soulaani", is just stealing cultural identities. A few AA claim to other people, despite the people they claim to be existing in this day and age remote from AA. Claiming to be someone due to identity problems is just appropriation at that point. Soulaan is fine, as I assume it has nothing to do with any other culture besides Southern African Americans. Even then, I don't know why there's an Identity problem with a few AA, and I'm sure its a small amount, that's why I mentioned the possibility of it being "chronically online". Realistically, if AA were studying their heritage, saying they are anything but European or Sub-Saharan African is a heavily inaccurate analysis of their heritage. If you do a 23 & ME and get a heritage that's anything from 0-4.99%, it really shouldn't be taken into consideration. African-European Slave trade was only 500 years ago, there's not enough generations of anything other than European and African that should be taken into account. If it is valid enough to get taken into account, West Africans can start calling themselves Arab, Moors, Berbers, Portuguese etc. It doesn't make sense to even consider such small lineages unless a historical study of how humans migrated was being done. Something of that sorttt.

The UK is ranked 8th in the world for education, the USA ranked 14th in the world American get a lower standard of education and as a black person who has traveled to America, Americans of all colours are less knowledge about the world and history. That is why west Africans are most educated group in America because they have foreign parents. Exactly, he's just a trouble making grifter. Someone should report him to the embassy and stop him coming to the UK to start online diaspora wars and create infighting between Blk people from different countries.

Are you European? Yes. Are you African? Yes. But we don’t know who we are as black Americans 😂😂😂😂 “I’m a little confused” keep the interviews coming. We need material to combat the disrespectful Tik Tok videos.

It’s a cultural difference. If you ask people in London where they’re from, usually they’ll say what country their family is originally from, not the UK.

Like. What's the need? Black Africans fought with guns and waged war for their own liberation. Africans made alliances and friends and secured a better future for their children. African Americans can learn a thing or two from Africa about what liberty really looks like. No hate. But l bet the vast majority of black Africans are not worrying about what black Americans think of them - no affection lost. In fact, the West cannot survive without Africa but Africa survives without the West. This guy has this wrong. Black Americans need black Africans just like the West needs Africa but Africa doesn't need the West. That's the reality.
