just found ur channel but yeah here in okla. we went over like MAYBE a week of some tribes in our okla. history in 9th grade (back in the mid90's)

Same here, in Cali they speak hardly anything in k-12 about native history. I remember growing up there was maybe one paragraph in our history book.

My daughter is Inupiat Eskimo at CSULB .. she thought it was touching when one of her suite mates was ohhhh you’re native? There’s a powwow next week.. she was like uhhh well where I’m from we don’t have powwow but thanks for letting me know .. hope you’re doing well in school .. good for you!

Hey brotha, one big reason is that we are truly not taught about our ppl in k-12 here in California. The sections about native leaders and chiefs was skipped over instead to talk about the leaders of the union

A Navajo/Pueblo here at UCLA. I wonder why you're so proud to be Navajo when the Navajo Nation is so corrupted. Maybe you should ask people objective questions rather than gloat about being a Navajo.

Seriously? I don’t see him as gloating about being Navajo I just see him as saying he should be proud of his heritage. So should the United States. Iris end in general be hiding who they are because there is a corrupt political system? How bout we support each other and hold each other up not cut each other down.. it’s hard enough to be away from home

@@rhykpeekit is obvious because he thinks he is the only one there to do so. Proud of what? What is Navajo culture? If you think there is a reason to be proud of it. Furthermore, I am addressing tribal corruption not the nonnative systems. I don't need to agree with his woke narrative!
