Already many people in stem categories are jobless in canada. So no point of stem draw and most if IT services companies moving jobs to Mexico for lower cost. There will be not stem draw but cec draw definitly continues

Hi Kubeir, Thanks a lot for discussing the STEM draws. I have a quick question - My PGWP is expiring in Nov this year. I’m eligible under the STEM category and have 500 CRS points, but points dropped by 1 point to 499 when adding spouse as accompanying. Do you recommend giving not accompanying for now considering that anything below 500 is risky at this point? Any predictions on what the next STEM draw points would be?

I believe STEM quota has been met through either general or CEC draw so the likelihood of having specific STEM draw is low

Crs 487. Working(IT) in canada since 2 years on closed wp. My company would renew wp for 2-3 years more. I was anticipating this year-end STEM draw. Looks like not gonna happen. What’s next for me to get PR? Without adding spouse, crs is 518. Is there a trouble in processing alone and later apply for dependent pr?

I am a single mother to a 2 year old and don't intend to take him along when traveling since he's still young. My question is, can i still declare that i have a dependent during my permanent residence application even though he won't be coming along?

Hi sir, when I received ITA, under a personal history I mentioned that I had job A from 02/2019 to 05/2019 and from 05/2019-09/2019 I was unemployed. I forgot that when I applied to a tourist visa to Canada I mentioned that I worked another job B from 01/2019 to 09/2019. This job was a part time job (1-2 days a week and online) personal assistant. I genuinely forgot about this experience. Now after passing a medical exam, officer has requested to update Schedule A and asked about this job B the following: 1..Your title/role and responsibilities with the company 2. What type of service or product does this company offer 3. How long were or have you been with the company with 4. Please provide external sources and/or company link, if available, if not, please explain why Does this mean that they could decline my case? What if a company doesn’t have a website because it’s a small company which has its sales with universities and doesn’t need a website? Thank yu

WHY FRENCH CATEGORY? MY OPINION: Looking from one perspective with considering high level geopolitics. I think they want to convince QC that they are giving importance to French language in one way and its culture in another way. So that the people of QC don't raise the same opposition that was made in past to have another country. This could be because we all know how in QC, the government is releasing various bills to increase the French influence among study and work culture. In the background at the federal level, may be they got some flying internal news about this matter to their ears. From other perspectives, it could be with the world geopolitics, as Kubeir mentioned they want to bring a particular community from Africa or other place where the community is the French-speaking community. The pressure could be from the deep politics from another developed country like US whose puppet nation is Canada (like what they did for Ukraine, giving asylums to many under US influence). It could be beyond understanding of common people. Only Mr. Trudeau can answer it right. I like that you raised this question, maybe you can discuss this with someone expert in politics or world geopolitics, they will provide the right way of thinking.

@RMatt2016 Similar to why the US would prefer Ukranian to Canada. Its high-level politics, to fulfill their agenda. Could be to increase influence in Africa given that China is becoming dominat in this continent. Especially because it is rich in minerals. We never know! I could be wrong as well. 🙃

We still have so many engineers that are unemployed so let’s have them get employment first. Otherwise this is another way to get jobs from the locals. We have new graduates that are not getting interviews even. Go look at any job posted and even get 75 applicants!!! Plus there are new grads this November and April next year that is not too far away! My son finished his masters and luckily he is working but a lot of his classmates especially those from India are not even working as they phone him frequently if there is hiring in his workplace and they are even PR now. We are not even counting older engineers who want to work but can’t even find a job. I am an older engineer engineer myself and I’m looking for a job to help my son get his first house otherwise how will he qualify?

Yeah true IRCC and actual employment needs have no correlation. This country is messed up, it will become more worse. Whatever countries you came from are better than this.

Correct already over crowded with IT people.. this country needs more in construction, healthcare, and transport

In reality, there maybe so little of said US companies setting base here and making use of the tech talent. Immigration and actual employment demands are not matching at all. Its basically canadian government fooling the world that there are tech jobs here but thats not the case. Most of the tech people take months, even years if lucky to land an entry level job maybe even with the experience. Tech of all categories dont need licensing, because if you code in java in asia or Canada its the same thing yet people still struggle to find jobs. There is no dream in canada anymore, its just that the government is fooling the people and getting them spend their money from back home in this broken economy. I hope you as a consultant would actually talk about the current pathetic state Canada is in right now. Its in a state where immigration should be halted for the next 5 yrs atleast.

I am the primary applicant for our PR application. My work permit is valid until early February 2025, but my husband’s dependent work permit expires in the first week of October 2024. Can we apply for a Bridging Open Work Permit (BOWP) for both of us based on my AOR, or should we apply for his work permit extension separately?

Sir I am in the pool with 516 score. My wife is a primary applicant who has done MBA from Canada and has Celpip English clb 10. We are not yet cec class because my wife still does not have 1 year Canada experience but she has stem category experience valid . We are in the pool since end of July and waiting for stem draw . It should happen this year right ? Also another question is the six month experience in stem noc codes within the last 3 years apply when we receive the ITA or when we submit our documentation for pr as invitation round says preceding the day officer receives your application for pr . Please confirm it as well.

I got ITA recently under CEC, I came to Canada in 2021 after completing 50% course in India due to covid restrictions. I finished my 50% course in Canada. Now my question is what should i mention in "Country where activity took place" in personal activity section of PR application. Do I have to mention India for the period of time when I completed my half course in Indian and again add education activity for half course in Canada or just mention Canada in total course duration?

I got rejection for PGWP extension and I have applied for visitor record on the same day of rejection. If I get invitation within 90 days after rejection, am I eligible to apply for BOWP?

If you apply PR definitely yes. You can apply pgwp extension if your passport is nearly expire.

Since you mentioned transport category is only 0.5%, does that mean flight instructors or pilots won't be benefited much from transport draw if they did their training and working in Canada? Already above the age of 31, no graduation, some work experience therefore low CRS. What are the odds with pilot training and flight instructor/ pilot job route? How worthwhile would it be to learn French?

French draws happen way more often and cutoff scores are low. So I'd say it's worth it but also it's very difficult to get the CLB required for french

Hi Sir, I’m currently working 40 hours per week and I’m at 21 months of Canadian work experience. To qualify for the 2-year experience score, do I need to wait for 24 months or is 22 months enough? Also, my birthday (which will lower my score by 5 points) and my 2-year experience completion date fall on the same day. I am confused..please advise.

I submitted my PR application but just realized that i forgot change my last port of entry. I mentioned Pearson Toronto airport that was in 2022 march but i recently visited US 2024 august and entered through Point Roberts Peace Arch via car. Should i raise a web form about the same. But i have mentioned about the travel to US in the travel history. Thank you in adfor all the replies
