Both of my parents are deceased now and My father passed first so, I looked into these systems for my mother being alone. Well both of my parents were REALLY stubborn and "old-school" and would NEVER call for assistance in ANY situation. So, for me any solution was useless because my mother would NEVER use it! Ultimately she developed a condition that went septic and spent less than a year in hospitals/rehab centers before it was all done. She had issues for several days and said NOTHING to us siblings before things got too bad and we had to call 911 for a ambulance. Point being - there is NO point for "signing" up for any service if it will NEVER be used. And we were in-touch with her every day with a physical visit or a phone call. She hid the situation until things went south and of course at that point it was too late. All I'm trying to say is evaluate your personal situation before you even "sign-up" for one of these services. They are GREAT to have if your parents will USE them! IF!

Sorry to hear about your parents, John. That must have been hard for you and your siblings. And you're right! Even if a product works great, it's only as good as it's being used.
