You're welcome. If you're serious about the thanks, how about buying me a beer? You know to click the *THANKS* text link under the video because I mentioned it twice in the video.

Interesting vids! Couple questions, Do you know how many ft of dirt from the footing sub grade until rock? If it’s 4-5 ft deep the whole way, what is the sub grade material? Is it blasted/crushed rock or regular soil?

All of your questions are answered in *PREVIOUS* videos in the series. I suggest you watch the entire playlist.

I am sorry for so many questions... I am new to your channel. Now I want to know if you recommend to to do the drainage under the footing?! It is not a serious stuff in my country. What is then over the drainage?! Small rocks? And then to pour the footings?

to build a trench under the footing you would have had to take out more granite and then what would the footing be sitting on over the pipe?
@askthebuilder Жыл бұрын
Yes. You fill the trench with self-compacting gravel. Nothing about this is hard - except removing the granite.

Thanks! I can rent an actual movie that tens of people spend thousands up to millions producing. And they only charge 1.99 or less. And I’m just enjoying myself not doing homework.

So... you are worried about surface water when the ground is frozen? Ahhh... ya. Not sure where u live but where I live rain does not penetrate frozen ground so at that point drain tile is worthless. Also the heat from the house will keep the drain water liquid.

I have a huge unfair advantage over you. My college degree is in Hydrogeology. I assume you don't live in the Northeast as I do. I assume you've never seen ice buildup from groundwater seeps that are anywhere from 2 to 6-feet thick. You better re-watch the video. Ground water below the frost line will flow ALL WINTER LONG and enter the drain tile on the rear of the house and will eventually try to come through the pipe I show that's only 1 foot deep in the ground. THAT pipe will be 10F or 0F and any water flowing through it will eventually start to freeze choking off the pipe. Tell me then where all that ground water is going to go... I'll answer: The nearest crack in the foundation and then into the finished basement living space. I have a
