I can't find the episode where you show how bent you rail is. The front has nothing to do with how your fence is to the table saw blade. It's the back of the rail that counts. Granted, if you bending the front, the back may also be bending, but I would think that much. I think you're right to make it heavier. Thanks for you're time showing all you do for different projects. W. Kirk Crawford Tularosa, New Mexico

Alan, do you have a recommendation for a quality table saw that would dovetail well with your new guide rail system? I have a cheap hitachi table saw currently but would like to upgrade. Thanks for your input and I really enjoy the videos. Jack

Hi Jack. Just about any table saw can be set to cut perfectly. And any table saw can have a Biesemeyer guide rail setup attached to it so one of our fences will work. Have you seen the info page with the free plans we have on guide rails? vsctools.com/diy-guide-rails/ About saws? My General 350 is still as solid as the day it was new and I could not wear it out in two lifetimes. I would not hesitate to buy one used. I just spoke to fella who found one in excellent shape for $900 with a Biesemeyer guide rail. Feel free to write me at askwoodman@gmail.com as you begin you saw shopping journey. I would be happy help. A lot of times the older Generals/Powermatics/Unisaws with round rails are very cheap because the seller knows the fences and guide rails are junk. Let this be your secret weapon to getting a good price. Allan

thanks a lot for your channel and all the Information you give. i'm from italy and standars measurements are different here. I can't find 2x3 rectangular tubing here, I can get 80x50 mm but I really wanted to ask you if I could use a 50x50 mm (2x2") tubing for the rail and an angular steel bar 70x70mm? (I can't find 3x3" here wich corresponds to 75x75mm) thanks a lot, I really need your help. thanks again. love your work

The 50x50mm will work for our Adjustable t-squares, but I recommend something wider like 70x50mm so there is more horizontal room for the measuring tape and pointer window. The 80x50mm will work also. Feel free to write me at askwoodman@gmail.com or verysupercooltools@gmail.com so it is easier to send pictures and diagrams and links. Allan
