idk if he really got worse, obviously in this season he had not played perfect games against speed but i rather think terrans find out the best counter to his 1 gate robo play and its just isnt good now and the fact that he doesn’t really mix it up makes him kinda predictable

I feel that Light did not get enough credit. He has a very deep understanding of TvZ and can play a variety of styles, not just SK Terran. Preparing against him is a nightmare, as you could face literally any build executed with perfection. His biggest enemy would be his nerves on stage, as one bad engagement can decide the fate of the match.

I think Barracks has a real chance against Snow given their recent games, Light has been a bit off his best shape and will get rolled by Soulkey, then Rush vs Rain is a toss up, and Hero vs Sharp should be insane, I really can't call it.

@@zartanis0163 how is TvT more balanced and other match ups are not? TvT is not more balanced. It just tanks cancel tanks so you have this situation where they both take half of the map and it takes forever to do something.. All races and match ups are balanced. The only thing that changes if it is more or less favorable for each race is what kind of map you play. But it has nothing to do with if the game itself is balanced. You can make all kinds of maps.. I think ideally in all tournaments they should play the most balanced maps for all races as possible and I think they done that. When you look at maps now they are much more balanced for all races than before where some were crazy imba for some match ups..

I thought the weirdest one was how amazing Stork looked in ro16 only to look borderline embarassing levels of awful in ro8. Artosis cursed him clearly. I agree that Rush has a good chance. In order of % likelihood to win I'd probably say Soulkey is highest, then herO, then Rush. Snow and Light are both top tier but too inconsistent

Excited to watch all of these matchups! No idea how Barracks mentality is in the bo7 format. Crap changes in ro8. Thorough preparation and mind games are key. The tourney turns extra wild at this point. Momentum is a real thing though. Isn't he getting Flash builds and help? Its like he's a protoge. Snow can be broken but I feel like it takes a Flash or Soulkey type to do that. I'd be very surprised if Barracks has his number. He is playing awesome games though. SoulKey almost never breaks it seems. He can reverse sweep and completely flip a match around. I don't think Light breaks as much as just doesn't show up in good form or something. Maybe he's predictable or something. Rain and rush. Idk. Rain is kind of your hikaru nakamura type who is a master but makes more streaming.. should be a fun series. Sharp has been broken in the reverse sweep situation before. It seems like he's leveled up though. Feel like he deserves it. hero has an iron will. He's always been good, he always has good prep.

I was supporting Light since the 1st season of 2024 but he wasn't able to deliver according to Arty's hype about him being the best terran around. Honestly the other terrans are looking as menacing, if not more. Lets hope for a Terran champion this season tho, whoever manages to make it :)

I agree with all those predictions, but with that being said I think Light-Soulkey is the most difficult one to call. It's just too close, they're both so unbelievably good. I do think Barracks has a chance but still, I can't wait for Ro4 to have either Snow vs Soulkey or Snow vs Light.

terran heavy until you get down to the top players, where the zergs are better enough to overcome the terran race advantage. I remember an artosis video about how it was a fluke the last several years and soon terrans will be at the bottom again and it's historically slanted against terran. I checked the history for quite a few years and it's definitely not true, it's terran favored over a long period of time but not nearly as much so as starcraft 2, which every single year there are the most terrans in the top 24 of any race year after year. I'll laugh if the zergs beat the odds again and win it all.

based on all the evo mod games I can get my hands on, zerg is by far the worst race, while the terran and protoss are about even. Protoss slightly better. For SC2 races, terran is so far overpowered it's a head scratcher.

Light vs Soulkey is a toss up that could go either way. If Light beats Soulkey, Snow wins the tournament beating Rush in the finals. If Soulkey beats Light, then Snow is doomed in the semis and we have an epic final Soulkey vs Rush that could go either way. Rush will beat hero this time in the semis to reach the finals and that's another epic series.

Rush and hero have played each other a lot it's been back and forth so it's a coin flip and it's always great to see these guys play each other. It's crazy that neither of these guys have won an ASL yet because they're always there in the playoffs and are the hardest guys to beat. At this point they really deserve to win so I root for both hero and Rush. If Snow is waiting in the finals though, then hero will be more motivated to win than Rush because hero can beat Snow while Snow is the one guy in the draw that I'm not sure Rush has a chance against.

Snow hasnt been able to realy deliver in these type of torms and i remeber each time you support and claim a protoss player is totaly going to make it like stork for example they fall flat, I am worried about snow and suddenly Barracks going 4-2 or even 4-1 against snow is lols a possibility the Artosis Curse is totaly true mind you maybe its just stork and such but still light only got past the ro16 coz his opponant keept playing poorly and such light dosnt impress me that much he was getting outplayed hardcore but his opponants was unable to deliver in control or such however light is good in tvz but this is soulkey soo the other 2 match ups seem legit i agree with artosis outside of the best of 5 when its bo7
