Yeah, Amazon basically got the lowest-bidding contract voice actors to do this. Gave them long sheets of indexed lines and had them speak them all in order (with index number) in a mic and somebody else cut them up into individual files later. I sincerely doubt there was any in-person/one-on-one voice direction whatsoever from a director or anyone similar. This is why I play while using the Korean language, which did have all those things which help improve acting quality. And since I don't speak the language natively (i could survive in Korea on my own for a few days maybe), I can't tell when there's an occasional bad/cheesy korean VA here and there. The only worse English VA work I've ever heard on a foreign game was the English localization of Black Desert Online (dunno if they ever improved it). There are some pretty bad localizations of Japanese games out there too.

I really like it! It is like a bunch of games I played over 10 years ago mashed together with a smooth leveling process and not super repetitive like a lot of moba or Korean mmo's. There were times I felt they stole scenes from Diablo, Tera, and Aion but somehow it worked really well.

I’ll tell you the truth guys. Tier 1~2, it was unpopular even in Korea. Have p2w aspects but nothing to win at all. You just pay 2 suffer or just suffer. Then they massively reformed many things and put out Tier3. And Tier 3 raid being so good and all the shitty stuff fixed, game grew insanely. Streamers and users are going through T1,T2 which was the reason loa was unpopular,. But T3 is coming soon so at least try that if you wanna know what’s the big deal of this game. That’s actually why the director delayed the launch, to update tier3 soon after the western launch. It’s Korean p2w mmorpg that blew up insanely with great T3 raids, and director admitting problems honestly and fixing it. Even p2w related problems too. So don’t expect more than that, just try T3 legionnaire raid (Valtan) and if it’s not for you, delete it right there. You can easily reach there paying nothing.

i mean the story had some epic and even truly heartfelt moments for me so far, it is slow as fuck to start and also starts of generic as can be but over time develops into it's own thing, which is absolutely fine by me personally. I have to agree with you though, the Animations are outstanding. This game has moments where it looks stunning , in motion or framed, and that is an achievement from a game, which I suspect to have started development in 2010!

I used to be big into BDO and Vindictus before they both went pay2win. I only sub for XIV, before that I only paid2play or played free2play games. Also, what does it matter what a random plays? I know the jobless neckbeards had problems early but when I got home from work, I unpacked within a few minutes, had a small wait of 500 queue and then successfully played without problems for 4 hours. Sometimes it pays to have a job, pun intended.

This game reminds me of TERA. Great combat, flashy pretty graphics, some things are pretty fun to do, dungeons and group play really fun. But the questing and the story... Not even worth bothering with.

It’s sad I’m more invested in the story through his eyes and reaction than myself. I don’t really get into lore or stories unless it’s a single player game. But at this moment it looks decently well put. Maybe in the future I’ll use an alt to go through it more thoroughly.

@@DBTHEPLUG Can you blame them? Nope. Steam is at fault for the servers, when 500k people tried to play it at the same time. The game is pretty bug free, and the game itself has no big problems that might've affected the launch. It's steam's fault no one could unpack their games, not smilegate's.

idk how to feel about this yet. did the first party dungeon and it took like 3 minutes. used to at least 20 with ff. and even more with wow. the combat is fun, i like the artstyle. the story so far is whatever. idk how long i'll stick with it until i go back to ff or i'll get distracted by elden ring and stranger of paradise

It is a MMO. You cant really compare it to those other games made for good lore experience. It is not that bad however. Just try to catch up to it at first and at one moment it just builds.
