What I like the most about the quests in general is its like get 2 of X or kill 4 of X. They're quick. Fuck running around for 15 minutes getting 10 of things that takes forever on each quest. Makes them quick and enjoyable.

Later, you can unlock researches in your Stronghold that enhances RNG chance for gear upgrading for your alt, as well as reducing upgrade cost. That way the upgrade that had 45% chance for your main will have 55% chance for your alt.

@@Gashdal 2 separate researches (one unlocked at higher ilevel than other) that each provides 10% increase in base RNG. So, yes, the final increase will be 20%.

For players that aren't rushing and doing some sidequests, but not all of them, always focus on yellow quests with exclamation point on top of chain symbol, those chain quests can only be done once per account and always give much more than basic side quests, always do purple quests (Most of them reward gold or unlock crucial thing on your account) and no matter you're rushing or not ALWAYS do red quests that automatically get accepted on map, they are shortest one with very good rewards. Also always do daily quests (ALT+J as a default) prioritize dailies which reward leapstones (Shushire/Annika/Turtle Isle quests are my personal favorite, you can also do Peyto quest as if you get reputation from it you are given free ship as a reward).

Coming over from Wow where i am doing dailies and multi tasking other things on my 2nd monitor i find Lost Ark very problematic. The reason being it is very fun and has a much less mundane experience, spellcasting and doing quests even progressing a storyline collecting things and killing monsters over and over, doesnt feel repetitive at all. That's what I like about having the alts. On my main I'm taking my time, loot, sidequests, etc. But once I dig into the alts I can just breeze through the map and get to where I want to be a little quicker. It's why I never got into MMO's in the past. Everyone is in a rush to get to the end. I like the content along the way, so I play solo.

People no longer know how to enjoy a game other than by maximizing everything. Simply because these people grew up thinking that being good at a video game was cool and became a way of life. In any case, this is especially true for addictive games like free to play and mmos where grind is the main mechanism. I've played quite different games and I can clearly see the difference in mentality of the communities and how the games have adapted to better hook an addicted audience. Lost Ark is a casino, maybe the best but nothing else. If it's free, you are the product. Of course that's my opinion. I find the video game world fascinating, but what people do with it is depressing. Because there are still pigeons that make these grindy games (very) profitable...

Some of the side quest gives you alot of experience and it's right next to where you going to so I pick them up also it gives you experience to ur roster level that is great also

As a new player myself, the best thing to do imo is to not rush and play the game at your own pace. Don't waste resources, use online guides, make alt characters (knowledge transfer). You can skip side quests if you want but some of them give decent rewards that you'll want for later, like engraving books. Also explore islands when you unlock the ship because a lot of them give upgrade materials. Just look for guides online on what islands to go for.

A mistake that I made myself. Most of the top content requires multiple players to complete, so your comfort in fighting for your class against bosses plays a huge role. And for God's sake, do it IN A GROUP. I unfairly ranked Gunslinger, Arcana, Blade, and Summoner simply because I was trying to go through them alone. Of course, I defeated them, but it's one thing when the boss is distracted by one of the four / eight, than he runs only after you, and not only to deal damage, it's even difficult to survive.

Fyi for anyone wondering you don't even need to do the 21:9 thing with lost ark anyway. If you go to nvidia control panel you can select "Adjust desktop size and position" and enable desktop resizing and resize it to a 21:9 window and play all your games in 21:9. I have a 55 inch LG oled and I do this, it's great. Been playing lost ark on it

4:15 Leveling is learning expierience for me, i know its a personal thing but i hate start at higher lvls. That's one of my issues with ffxiv (I'm not saying that it's an Issue to everyone) i hate starting jobs at lvl 70 or 60. There are to many skills right of tthe bat. I'd rather start lvl 30 ~. Leveling is a learning experience to me, and I enjoy it way more than jumping to the maxed-out char/job.

This will also get them ahead in the economy and afford their engravings before they cost an arm and a leg. The casuals taking their time will quit as soon as they hit an ilvl wall where they have to do some actual grinding or hard content.

"TIPS" for level up : 1) Don't stay still, move and keep completing quests untill you reach level 50 2) use the gear that the quests give during your level up experience, don't end up having the same weapon for all 50 levels like... You really should pause the video on end points that the original creator makes, instead of cutting it off. That gives the viewers more time to process what they are saying before you interrupt with your perspective on the matter. It felt like you were interrupting a lot, and that made it difficult to follow what was going on. The viewers want to hear the main idea, and then hear your take on it' as it's very difficult to understand what's going on with 2 different speakers talking over each other. Blizzard is sleeping on the mobile market. I think about Heroes of the Storm, for example. While it was a complete fiasco of a game, several of its core concepts were later used to make Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and League of Legends: Wild Rift. Instead of trying to compete with Dota 2 and League of Legends, Blizzard could've been the first to make a successful mobile MOBA. Not only that: the pet battles could be a mobile APP, so you can battle while not playing WoW. I think pet battles are really cool, but I don't want to spend my WoW time doing it, when I can do Arena/Mythics/Raids.

Now the problem I have with videos like this is that they take away experiences, good or bad because you now know to do this or not instead of figuring it out yourself. I realized I am a next level mmo player. I'm still early in the story but I've unlocked 30 achievements and an in the top 0.1% of players on most of them (am told this is bugged but i still feel special until its fixed hahaha). I'm just playing the game and looking for all of the hidden secret things in each zone to get 70% completion in each area. It does not take much time to do it but my character and roster is already dumb high rank. I've also unlocked so many high level card sets and gold. I know this will change once most players start maxing out their stats and skills, but when I hit 50, there's soooooo much stuff I won't have to do anymore.

13:20 Neverwinter Online had something like that. It was web based. The problem with it is that it got exploited to hell and back and that's why it was taken down (at least for what they said)...plus, the game went to shi** a long time ago and I stopped playing it so no idea how that's going now :P. That aside, the system was amazing and made crafting so much more convenient, even more so with long crafting times cuz the way it works in that game, or worked at least, is that u not only sent ur hires to get mats, but to craft stuff for you and it usually took a shit ton of time (hrs) just like in WoW for mats.

Doing side quests is just factually slower and most of the rewards are useless. Side quest XP is irrelevant because you will get more than enough progressing the main story. The few side quests worth doing you can easily target later on. If you want to do them that's fine but don't lie to yourself or even worse others, that it's worth it or even close to as efficient use of your time.
