Just to clarify: You do NOT have to worry about dying, if you're dead during a stage when it's completed, you will still receive the stage completion experience reward. I would also recommend saving the chests that you get from the stage completions for when you reach max level if you have heirlooms, as the item level of the items that you get from the chests scale with your character level.

A few things worth noting: 1) I think if you save the chests until you hit level 100, you'll get level 100 gear out of them, I'm not 100% sure though, I'll figure it out once one of my alts hits 100. 2) If you care about the Nethershards, you get more of them for participating than you would just afking. Namely, when you tag the bosses - like the ones that show up as skulls on your map during stage 3 - you'll get several Nethershards per boss. Bare in mind that these are difficult to solo even as a geared level 100, so make sure there's other people around attacking them if you're on a low level character.

Not sure if you covered it or not but to save time traveling. at the expense of the large legion crate. leave on stage 3. sit just outside the zone for a couple of minutes (until the boss is killed) and re-enter. this will allow you to get the first three stages again.

It depends, if you know someone who can boost you through a dungeon it can take 3-4 mins per run and if you pick a place that has multiple different level dungeons close to each other (SM or HFC for example) it can be a little faster. They nerfed it because it was both the lowest effort and highest xp levelling completely nulling ALL other ways to level, they've now made it a very attractive option with making it the only option. I agree though they don't take any longer and there is more now more frequently and the demons themselves now give xp so with a bit of effort you can get the same or better xp than before

I've been doing this on my new warrior im leveling, so far from level 12-24 ive done 3 total invasions. Just afking there and yeah. Also, you CAN be dead and still gain the experience from the objective. While I was afk I came back dead and while being ressed by the spirit healer, i gained a level from the objective finishing. you can also leave the zone after stage 2, log out, log back in and return to the zone. you than will start at stage 1 again and you can do it over and over again. that's helpful so you can do more than two invasions every 4hrs

Just a quick note, if you do an invasion in an area controlled by the opposite faction, like Asmon in The Crossroads, during the invasion, the guards will be friendly and won't attack you. After the invasion has finished however, the guards WILL attack you. Just a helpful tip.

The chests that drop give rewards based on the level at which they are opened, not the level at which they are obtained, so don't open your boxes until you hit level 100 and you can have a full set of 700 gear waiting for you.

XP has been reduced by roughly 50% per invasion. Level 72: got 240.000 per invasion, 480.000 for both, one level is 422.000. After nerf: 120.000 per invasion, 360.000 for all three invasions Since it spawns three of these suckers every 2 hours now you get 720.000 exp every 4 hours, compared to the 480.000 before the nerf.

Hey just a tip if you want to farm the invasions, IF you leave the invasion zone before the final boss is killed and re-enter, it will start you again from stage one, allowing you to get exp/shards from all the mini bosses in stage 2 and 3 which allows you to effectively farm without having to wait 4 hours between every two invasions :)

Also, if you have looms. During stage 3/4 you can kill infernals and Dreadguards for more xp. In stage 4, while everyone else kills the Demon Lord, you farm xp. Barrens: They can be found in the closest Kor'kron encampments to x-roads. Azshara: On the Beach next to the naga statue is where they usually are. Don't know about the other places. Essentially, 1.5k per infernal unrested at level 37 and 5.5k for every Dreadguard again unrested at level 37

a point worth mentioning with this if you didn't say it in the video. save up your loot boxes as the loot scales to your current level. i opened 15 on my powerleveled warrior and got 6 warforged 710 pieces. boxes were earned from lvl 92

You can log out and back in to reset the invasion before stage 4 completes if you dont want to go to anothere area. You dont get big demon chest or final stage exp but saves travel time

Don't open the boxes, save them until you reach level 100, and then open all of them. You will get full gear IL 700, and weapon which you can upgrade to IL 725. So 1 hour after you ding lvl 100 u will be IL 700+ (trinket, neck and ring from vendor with shards i think 50 shards each, and second trinket IL 685 and second ring from the Legion starter quests). Thats all :D PS: If you combinate leveling with BGs you can buy IL 710 from Ashran if you want little bit better gear. For armors you need 18 mark of honor - and then u will have armor IL 710, jawels 700 (one 685), and weapons 725 IL. I ding yesterday and now i am 707 IL. Ez pz :D GL HF! Two things: You'll get a ton of gear so don't worry about switching them out as you level heck it helps with repair costs as you grow in level; and yes you do get exp and chests if your dead and the stages change.

Recruit a friend bonus affects this experience gained from the invasions. I went from lvl 11 (x2) to lvl 22 (x2) from one invasion. The slow part is actually getting to the area.

I just tried this, started off on my Level 61 (at 56%) Warrior. At the end of Stage One, I was level 62 (at 15%). Stage Two, I was level 62 (at 71%). Stage 3 I was 63 (at 25%). Stage 4 I was 64 (at 3%). This was in full BoA's and with a +300% xp potion on. Keep in mind, if you use the Elixir of Ancient Knowledge, it falls off if you die, so be very cautious. The second one I did w/o the potion. At the end of Stage 1 I was 64 (52%). Stage 2 I was at 65 (1%). Stage 3 I was at 65 (53%), and after Stage 4 I was level 65 (76%). (In case anyone was looking for numbers around that level and if it's worth it for you.) It took me approximately 25 minutes to complete both, though I did receive help getting there from a friend who ported and flew me to Tanaris.

The invasions also don't use up your rested exp. I've leveled about 8 times on one alt and I've never not been rested. Anyways max heirlooms every set of invasions gives you about 120-150% exp at lvl 90+

There are some mobs that give you a huge amount of EXP if you kill them solo. The abyssals and Infernals give you 4-5x+ the exp of other mobs of the same level during the invasion (normal mobs ~400, Abyssals ~1,5k, Infernals 2k+ for example). There are also mobs called "Dread Devastator", which are elite Felguards. They give as much EXP as rare mobs of the same level. At level ~50 I got over 6,6k for one of these. So searching and killing those is another nice boost you can get.

dont know about XP but you get crates when dead (been dead happens most on pitlord bosses as they have the smallest hitbox ever) also as time gets closer to the 30th the invasions will be up more and more so at some point you will be able to hop from one to the next in a never ending loop (i may get the caster staff at some point if this is true) tip for alliance players having the Hyjal portal from stormwind and a HS in mist helps with getting around.

This time period in wow was the most fun ever.. I leveled my bm hunter from 0-95 without doing a single quest, or entering any dungeon. Everytime there was an invasion in westfall I just logged in and out over and over with another tab open. I think my /played was like 10-15 hours or something crazy at almost 100. (I ended up doing a little WoD content for the last bit because invasions got nerfed and it was painfully slow) I also had some people in my guild that used full heirlooms, both 300% exp potions, and RAF and got level 100 characters in just 2-3 hours /played.

this is what I found, I made a new character got it to level 6 and ran out of the starting area to the nearest invasion or get a friend with sandstone drake or mage to portal you. At level 6 though you don't get the invasion parts but the demon's scale to your level so you can kill them preferably solo for max xp especially with heirlooms. The legion parts start at level 10 but instead of doing nothing go around the area killing the normal, elite demons and some of the small mini bosses NOT the big bosses as you will get owned solo and you will get next to no xp if there is loads of players killing it. Also free the prisoners from the fel prisons and you get followers for the duration of that particular invasion which help out in combat or heal you.

The exp is great. I leveled from 91 to 100 on one of my alts by only doing invasions every 4 hours (or when I could log in) and it took just 2 days of 30~ minutes for both zones combined.

Yeah he has to be talking about doing 3 zones of bonus objectives, popping an elixir, and flying between them all. Which is 2-4 hours of actively playing the game, doing just the quests unless they nerfed the exp you need to lvl up probably takes 8 hours. Invasion hopping really is great I just cycle through my alts, getting them to the zones and alt tab. Get about 1.5 levels at 90+ for merely flying to 2 locations. I'll probably have 5 or 6 alts up at lvl 100 within 3 days of doing jack.

What me and my friends did was. Make 5 Brand new toons get them level 10 (must be level 10-100 to see invasions) walk into the zone when invasions start and wait for others to complete them Dungeon for the other 2-3 hours. The amount of xp with TWO potions to 85 went as the following 10-32-46-61-70-80-85 Now with just the warlords potion 85-89-93-97-99-100 Just a little tip for leveling harder!

Some say it's nerfed but it's not entirely true. They decreased xp for completing stages and increased xp for killing mobs. Previously i got 75% of a level every invasion, now I get about one whole level. You can't just afk, you need to kill mobs.

Literally just go to the area, tag as many mobs as you can and then log out as soon as stage 3 starts. When you log back in the invasion will reset and you won't have to go through the pain of flying to a new area. I've been doing this on my monk and have gotten her from 24 to 86 in about 10-12 hours play time doing this in full heirlooms. The only downside to doing it this way is you won't get as many chests but it's so much quicker if you just want to grind xp.

I've already gotten 3 chars from 90-100 afk at invasions. I'm not sure if heirlooms even effect the exp gain. All the exp is from the phase ending rewards and it doesn't appear to be effected by rested experience.

On my level 94, I had no XP boosts besides rested XP and the 20% potion from the Garrison. After two invasions, I was at level 96. After that I got another level for every two invasions until I hit 100. These were all essentially done AFK. It should be pointed out that you also get rewarded the usual number of Nethershards and the loot chests with gear, although the ilvl of the gear is adjusted according to your level. I was getting 670 gear at level 99, for example. The gold value of the gear doesn't seem to change, though, so there's a nice payoff. The experience gains are even more insane for much lower level characters. I had a level 14 Worgen Warrior languishing in Darnassus, so I brought him to Dun Morogh with rested XP and a full set of heirlooms minus rings. Within one invasion he was halfway to level 19. Five more invasions later, he is at level 32. I thought these invasions were fun before, but now with the leveling boosts I just can't stop playing them!

What if you roll a monk get to level 20 then use xp potions and recruit a friend to get 900% xp then you use your heirlooms for 55% more xp then get the enlightenment buff from the monks in pandaria (using your ability to teleport there) and get the 50% cup enlightenment buff. To get 1005% bonus xp then you do invasions... At level 75 you can get around 800000 or 8mil xp (don't know rip meth) on the final stage alone due to the original xp being around 78000 with no xp boost.

If you are low lvl dont forget to learn the flying paths so you dont have to walk every single time. You will get xp while you are in the zone no matter dead or alive. Also killing demons gives alot of xp, but make sure they are not taged otherwise you will get very little

At lower level (30ish) I'm getting 1 level per phase. So it's also great to boost characters at the earliest.

this is great there are a couple of alts i havent leveled from 90-100 yet due to their class being really shitty like warrior and stuff. glad i'll have another 100 to look at soon (and he'll look really EPIC in that timeless isle gear)

Just did an invasion on my level 92 DK. 1 invasion, 4 stages, got me roughly 3.5 bars exp while participating. Looks like they reduced the exp a lot.

How does fel chest works? Can i hold all of them during leveling and once i hit cap just pop them at once getting pretty sweet legion start with lvl 700 toys or does they scale out of level u earned them. Thanks for reply

From experience - YES, you will get the exp even when dead.

You will get the experience if you are dead. Confirmed by me...while getting experience...while being dead.

Gear and mobs scale to your level as if your fighting raid bosses. Also so does the gear.
