2 things, 1) who cares dks are basically BM hinters in TBC, if the pet does more then you youre not dpsing the AI is. 2). im the top dps in my 25 man as a ret pali and we still clear ulduar. this toxic parse culture is pathetic and means nothing, if you play off a meta list and not what you like youre playing the game wrong and arent better then anyone else just because of class diff.

Ret is balanced around stuff that comes later in the game so they are very much in the same boat as warriors. At least they can still AOE decently I guess.

@Rhokis How do you know? Have you polled everyone that plays Classic and asked their opinion? As someone who raided full time from 4.0.2-5.4.8, both expansions were some of the most fun I’ve had in a decade of WoW. Even more enjoyable when I went back and played them on private servers as an adult. I’d wager that many who’ve stuck with their toons since 2019 will want new content after burnout from months of trivialized ICC runs. It’s popular to hate on Cata & MoP because they deviate from how the game was originally designed. Objectively speaking, the 3rd and 4th expansion fix a lot of major class design and raiding flaws that result in a far more enjoyable play across the board for every spec, not to mention, the content actually starts to become challenging. I just think that going back through MoP would be a great experience for a lot of people and would bring a lot of valuable theory-craft discussions if we went for 5.4.8 class balance. There’s not a lot of info online for pre-WoD class guides because most of the existing info was outdated by the end of MoP.

@Rhokis 1) Blizzard’s decline in player numbers after Wrath was more to do with the wave of casual players that left the game to player other genres. MMOs as a whole slowly declined, but Cata had a massive player count regardless. 2) The talent system wasn’t overhauled until MoP. The Cata iteration just had all of the useless fat cut out. The old talent system was imo the worst system the game had. The vast majority of players all use the same cookie-cutter builds, so what’s the point in allowing creativity when there are inferior talents that never get taken? With the MoP system, you had less talents but the the ones you had were far more exciting to use. They were all active abilities that gave you the freedom to swap from boss to boss or from PvE to PvP without the annoyance of re doing an entire tree just to PvP. Something as simple as a Hunter switching from Glaive Toss to Barrage on heavy AoE fights made your class feel far less repetitive. 3) Cata dungeons were some of the best 5-man content to date. They were difficult and a lot of the casual base couldn’t handle them coming from Wrath.

Every other Class: And they finally gave you things to bring to groups and raids, right? Warriors: Every other class: You finally got helpful abilities... right?. Going Paladin is night and day compared to warriors. You can do it all easier, solo easier, save people, res people, 1min cc?, burst (no rage building). You can play all 3 roles: healer, tank, damage. Kind of like playing a Jedi vs a caveman.

Also ask urself why none of the level 60 defense trinkets arnt nerfed I'll tell u why if they were to implement that nerf defense rating would be removed from the game completely like they did in cataclysm. lmao I still do top 1-5 dps in my 25 man as ret simply because im in a average guild and know what im doing and we clear naxx and ulduar. now the real copium is thinking you NEED a raid of 90 parsing dks to play the game when thats not even close to true. No matter what happens all us melee dps know we have to put in 3x the effort to match up with dots, pets and 1 button rotations and we are proud of it.

Asmon Warrior is the LAST tank people want to bring. First is a Pally, little weak on magic damage but they make up for it with the other tools they bring. Then the Blood DK Single target threat out off the charts and the heal themselves like there is no tomorrow. Then Bears you have most of the Warr tool kit Plus B-rez and other things. Now a Warr can get the job done just the other Tanks bring more to the table.
