I think in Nameless King's first phase there's some hitboxing where if you're out far enough and get hit, this is the correct move, but if not, then even the natural animation where your character gets up causes you to get hit by the fire twice even if you try to stay down for as long as possible.

@DreamskyDance Жыл бұрын
There are two important things in that fight... First, you have to get through the dragon part with using as little flasks as possible ( just like Emi concluded she should do ). Use all the buff items you have for damage and such so you rush the dragon part as best as you can. When he goes up in the air just run, run right away in the farthest direction from him and when you run out of stamina start rolling, this is not Elden Ring and dragon fights without a horse are a complete bs, you barely have time to clear his fire area of effect...it may still clip you thou and it is what it is, but if you spend two or three flasks on a dragon you are good. Maybe only attack when he is breathing fire and do big damage, you can even open him up for critical if you hit him enough times in short amount of time. Second, Nameless King himself punishes keeping distance, yeah i know it is contra intuitive but have you seen how good Emi was doing when dodging close to him...do exactly that, remember the timing and then dodge..dodge..hit..dodge..hit and be close to him, circle around him. In his second phase that lightning attack from the sky hits you instantly as he does it, so when you see him raising his spear wait a second and as soon as he raises it a bit further dodge. If you played Elden Ring it is the literal same attack that dragon knights on horse in yellow armor that shoot red lightning have ( one is in front of the Leyendell entrance when you pass the cemetary and two giants ). Also be careful with healing for the Nameless King, he will punish it. It is best to consider healing at the time you would attack him, sacrifice your attack window for flask drinking window.

@alkair422 Жыл бұрын
the dragon has soem simple rules and he is basically too easy. Just don't get underneath him and he will never use breath attack. Meanwhile a few strikes will already stun him for a crit that takes one third of his hp. And besides the breath attack he only has slow and telegraphed attacks from NK. Second phase is were it is.
@biomegamechdude11 ай бұрын
biggest issue she had with the king himself was dodging after each strike when the boss often does 3-4 hit combos with many delayed attacks so panic rolling will get you killed if you do that
@Greywander87 Жыл бұрын
My first time against Nameless King I found him to be so difficult. Later, I was in NG++ trying to get the last few achievements, one of which requires you to beat Nameless King to access the area after him where a ring only appears in NG++. I stacked as much lightning resistance as I could and leaned heavy into dark pyromancies, which phase 2 is especially weak to, and he was disgustingly easy. I was also way over-leveled, but this was NG++ so I feel like that aspect balances out. The Parting Flame really makes pyro builds a lot more fun (and viable, and stylish). The double-tap on Great Combustion/Black Flame is great for staggering or getting through shields. Really makes me wish ER and the other Souls games had an equivalent, or that Combustion-like spells had the double-tap as a default feature.
