2 things I think are important: 1) Keep your tradeable materials that you gather in the far left warehouse so they don't get used up unless you explicitly need them. Stuff that is character bound should always be used first in your upgrading. 2) there are points where you get 20 stacks of chests with materials or gems and while it may be tempting to open all 20, open them individually as you need them. I opened all twenty when I needed small blue and red crystals, now I have thousands bound to my character, and I have out leveled those crystals. Opening them as needed would have allowed me to pass the chests to my alts. Or just pick the next level of crystals.

Additional tip: hold ALT to compare an earing / earpiece to the second one equipped. Another ALT tip: instead of reading 20 books of engraving separately, stack them up and ALT + click it to read them all at once (same thing for cooking the donut in Luterra castle)

When buying accessories, do not buy items with the same name. Accessories with the same name cannot be equipped at the same time. Clothing such as hats and tops does not matter. Please be mindful of that. Otherwise, you could lose a lot of money later.

Good video sir, but I would like to point out there is a daily quest for u to do to get feathers if you are out of them later on. Complete 1 of the yellow quest in artemis continent on the map called border it will unlock the daily quest. It will provide feather if you do the dailies you can do it if you are really out of them then just set an alt there to pick n do that quest but feathers are alot normally you would not need to do it if you don't waste it. But just incase you exhaust it that is 1 of the way, just putting it out there not necessarily have to spend cash to get em tho.

What is the significance of setting an alt there? Does that mean everytime you log in to the alt youll be where you want to be to complete that quest and keep repeating it?

@@AdrianDWolfe It is just to save time. You do not have to travel to that point with your character (traveling without the teleport set on that place is time consuming) if you place an alt character at that place and can simply log on him and complete the quest daily.

@@ratstar4102 because % potions can be used in end game. Better to save them. Static potions can't be used in end game. So if it says heal 40% for example, keep it. If it says heal 600 life for example, then use it.

@@ratstar4102 To clarify: there is two types of potions. One heals over time. One heals in one burst. The latter effectively costs gold, which is a timegated ressource and should thus not be wasted. You will (likely) not need the instant potions while leveling / doing dailies and whatnot anyways. What's important is that you can *not* use the heal over time potions in, say, raids. So that's what you usually want to save the gold potions for. The heal over time one you can just buy as many as you need with silver.

Concerning the leveling, I played on RU recently doing some experiments on the best way to lvl. I leveled a berserker and a striker all the way to 50. The berseker I just did mains, on striker, I did everything including the seccondary quests and the results were: Berserker: 12:26 hours Striker: 14:45 hours So, the difference between both leveling methods was about 2 hours and 20 minutes. For the people that will just burn the first day leveling nonstop, that is a very minor difference and you will see yourself on lvl 50 either way on day 1. For the people that actually split the gaming time in a few hours a day, that will be different. Things to mention concerning those 2 lvling experiences: 1- I had already leveled a paladin before running those tests, so quests like the pet quest, island quest and gathering quest didn´t enter the equation, since you only need to do those once on the account. 2- I skipped the tutorial on both cases, that eased up quite some time, I would guess 30 mins or so minimum. 3- I had no competition for quests like "kill x mobs" or "collect x resources", you know, any quest that would put you on a halt in case you have a horde of players competing with you and forcing you to sit still and wait for respawns. So those benchmarks may be slightly higher on day 1 and considering how the launch of NW was, I would guess that we will face queues for entering the servers, it´s amazon after all, so don´t be frustrated if things take a bit longer than what I got on RU.

What I wish I would’ve done differently on the RU server, was doing my guide quests as I level up as opposed to skipping them for later. If you’re someone who doesn’t like to back track to other to other continents I would recommend doing them as you see them. Some are very quick while I would maybe leave out the estate guide quests for later on, as to me that seemed to be one of the longer ones. The guide quests will be purple/pink quests. (I’m colorblind so I’m not quite sure 😂)

There is alot of info in the estate quest, but it only takes 10mins if you skip through it all, and it's a good idea to get started asap, as it's time based. also bonus tip for you, there is coloblind filters in the Accessibility menu :)

Great Vid, thanks. One thing I would add, when you get to Bern and complete the initial instanced quest and speak with the queen, do the Chaos dungeon for a set of 302 gear(or at least most pieces). It will make doing the remaining Bern quests a little easier and get you started in doing the Epona weekly. Then when you finish Shushire, replace/recycle any gear that is better quality (durability/additional stats) than what you have equipped. Hopefully it will get ppl into the habit of checking quality early as with T2 and T3 gear, you will be looking at Tripods also provided with the gear.

Thought i'd contribute with a correction and some advice, you need to buy the green tools to gather the materials for the guide quests that give the blue tools, so don't skip the green tools as you'll just get confused as to why you cant gather, plus you shouldn't use the blue tool for the early lvling of professions, it's a complete waste of max durability. Greens are cheap and easily disposable, blues less so.

@Konstantinos Kyprianou I'd say when you can reliably make them, then upgrades are more sustainable. So when you can craft blues start using blues etc, the only exception is relic tools as they are extremely hard to get, so unless its a purple node don't use relic tools on it, use purples. You'll notice that some professions have minigames, better tool and tool stats help with those, so leveling to "max lvl" (as far as I know there is no max lvl, you just stop getting big unlocks after lvl 30, the rest after are small passive upgrades) with greens is a lot harder than it has to be just to save some silver/gold. At the end of the day it's just about efficiency and getting bigger payouts of rare materials from nodes, better tools means better chance at getting good materials. If you want to break it down into levels, i'd say a tool upgrade every 10 lvls, so greens until lvl 10 etc. You could also just go to lvl 15 with greens, but then we're back to the efficiency dilemma.

One correction though you have to buy the mining and fishing gear for these 2 questlines. The other ones they hand you a free uncommon tool then if you complete the quests you also get a free rare. But mining and fishing you get no free uncommon one to start the quest, so you have to buy them and just get the rare reward after you finish the quests.

The first guide quest for all skills require you to buy and equip novice tools, the upgraded forms even if you have them do not satisfy the requirement so you do need to buy it, even though it gives you a blue at the end.... And yeah doing even side quest you end up pretty overleveled, but a fun tip you can skip continents so hitting 50 and going to vern is the better option for progression since vern unlocks those end game features like una's tasks, chaos dungeons, guardian raids etc. But you will eventually have to go back and do the stuff you left behind if it involves an ark since thats all that really matters for the main quest.

I actually enjoy doing all the side missions and not just do the main story line. I’m in no hurry to the end content or rushing through it. It’s like eating at great restaurant; you don’t just eat the food quickly, you stop during bites and thoroughly tastes what you’re eating and define the complexities in your meal. So, that’s how I play my mmo’s. Every one keeps saying, “just do the main quests, you’ll level faster”. Nope. Not me. For me, it takes away from the authenticity of the game and gameplay created by the devs that they want you to experience.

Something I wish i knew when starting was to receive the rewards in the adventure book...by hitting "N" you'll bring up ur adventure book and in the top left it'll say "receive all". I didn't understand how friends were blasting 10+ Legacy levels ahead of me (im on RU), and by receiving the rewards up there u dont only get the rewards for the zone, but every 10% u also get a massive amount of legacy XP

I agree with all the things you said here save 1 and the only reason I don't necessarily 'agree' is because I would add a caveat. The tip in question is "Join a Guild as soon as possible." Personally, I would rather feel out, or speak with some of the members of the guild before I join it so I'm not wasting anyone's time. (Including my own) Getting into a guild that doesn't share you goals and/or you don't particularly care for not only sets you back but it can effect your motivation. Just my two cents mate, either way great video.

Regarding the "con man" ( 02:32 ) - you say that we should get the mining pick from the guide quest, but the guide quest specifically says to purchase the novice mining tool from the merchant. Is there yet another obvious thing I'm missing here?

2:32 While yes, you get blue life skill tools from quest, they are not guaranteed to give you super armor skill while gathering, this skill will save you a TON of time while life skilling so while leveling your life skills its generally easier to just spam buy tools from the merchant til you get the super armor skill on the tool

Its amazing that I already like this game when I haven't even played it yet. It seems like the developers are actually gamers who understand that many of us lack the time to invest many hours a day into a game in order to stay competitive. Thank you Lost Ark devs.

nope their not genuine gamers (they will fake it for PR though) or so many things would be changed if gamers made a game and were n charge of such details (hence indie industry is very diferent), the corporate game development industry revolves around the mobile gaming market these days, so their is a heavy emphasis in all the big games to cater to casual gamers and the whales, were whales can be both casual and also fulltime gamers as well, but as the majority of money outside whales comes from casual gamers and content for casual gamers is more simple to make = corporations love the fact casual gamers are cheaper to catter to, but also = more $$$ then the actual fan base. this is one reason they completely ignore the fan base for their games, they arent the ones who are willing to spend all that $$$ on stuff normally expected to be included in the price or base game for free and while casuals are in order to maximize the returns on their limited "time" investment in a game are far more willing to throw $$$ at the game, but at the same time the corporations understand casuals need some incentives and "bait" to keep them returning as well, as they cant spend $$$ every time they log in to play catch up, unless their a whale.

is there a video to show new players items to look for. Like what items r usefull to save and keep? i know in some games there items ppl pick up and there like eh doesnt seem good and just sells them.

my mistake was that i watched waaay to many guides before even playing the game but after i saw someone just say, play what you like, all classes do bring something, and so I did, think it was around 7% that do play the class, Wardancer :)

i rarely enjoy tanking, usually dont enjoy support roles - i think im going to main Shadowhunter for in your face hack and slash beauty with a ranged sharpshooter alt once i get to max level
