The current president was the son of the a former president (considered to be a dictator when he was in the seat of power). The reason they were wiring money to Alameda is because FTX didn’t have any bank accounts that money could be wired into. There are banking regulations for establishing accounts that can accept wires and FTX originally couldn’t meet those requirements, so money would be wired into Alameda and FTX would use it out of the Alameda account as if the money had been wired into an FTX account. Talk about commingling funds!?!?!
