So, I was playing the game today and came across an old lady being harassed by dark wizards. After helping her, she mention she and her *wife* study Merlin and introduced the Merlin Trials. A few quests later, came across a quest in which Sirona, the badass bar owner that helps you early in the game, talks about how some of her old classmates *didn't know she is a witch rather than a wizard.* On top of that, the game has no gender lock and addresses your character only by they/them, which makes your character whatever you want them to be. The game was not made by Rowling. The game succeeding or failing barely has any effect on her. Harassing only affects the devs and the streamers.

I think the argument is that because Rowling makes money off royalties for each sale, and she uses that money for anti-trans purposes, supporting the game indirectly financially supports those anti trans talking points. No, playing the game doesn't make you a transphobe but you can't really get away from the fact that part of each sale goes to JKR, and that does mean that you care more about enjoying a media product. To me, that does make you a "fair weather friend" to trans people at best, which is the actual argument I've seen people make, not this imaginary argument you're purporting here. For example, I got my favourite broom simply by exploring and popping some balloons for practice flying, which in turn made me better at the time trials while also getting cool new stuff. The loot system in my mind was rather tedious, and wholly unnecessary, but you are right that it scratches the gamble itch many people have with game loot boxes without making people pay for them. My one major complaint is the level system itself, there is no need for it. Most everything levels with you or slightly above you, and the gear becomes a constant inventory micro management. If they locked the talent points behind challenges instead of levels and scrapped the grind, this game would be even better. There is no New Game Plus for example, so while I didn't have to grind since I was having fun exploring, it would be a massive grind for the other three houses.

The royalties that J.K Rowling receives from the game is nothing in comparison to Universal Studios. She probably makes $1 million dollars a day from people visiting but I have never seen none of them stand outside of Universal Studios with signs. To me it seems like they are too lazy to stand outside for more than 5 minutes, so they choose the next easiest thing and that is sitting at home eating hot Cheetos while attacking people that play the game.

That twitter user talking about the death threats came out afterwards with an apology letter acknowledging that they were in the wrong, and they're taking responsibility for that tweet. Although it's commendable, the damage is already done. There's no amount of apologies and saying "I'm sorry" that will ever be enough to repair the harm they caused to themselves and other people, regardless of whether it was targeted or collateral damage. They know that they have to live with that on their conscience for the rest of their life.

what pisses me off is seeing all the people on social media who call out Rowling as a horrible person for her conduct on social media. I mean yeah you can look at some of her exchanges and she comes across as a terrible human being, but Rowling already tried taking the high road with these people. When this all kicked off a few years back after she had liked some posts on twitter., she posted that Essay and agree or disagree with it, it was a very professional and articulate piece that explained where she was coming from and how her own past led to her thinking this way. the Essay was less an attack on trans people in general and more against this brand of activism and the harm it can do, and one of her big concerns related to legislation in her native Scotland that could put women at risk (which in my view is valid with the recent controversy with the rapist) . And how exactly did those same activists respond?? Did they apply even an ounce of compassion or understanding to try and find some middle ground with Rowling? Did they Fuck!!! They double and tripled down on their harassment of her and cherry picked bits of the essay that painted Rowling as a monster. You can't win with these people and if you keep pushing someone and backing them into a corner , eventually they will start lashing out . the nicest person on this planet will turn nasty if you keep pushing and pushing them. So in conclusion anyone who calls out Rowling for her twitter posts, just remember that she already extended an olive branch and you spat in her face and called her a bitch.

We should be breaking down these Racial Identity, Sexual Identity ,and Gender Identity Barriers preventing people from accepting each other that's what coexistence is about. How does Putting every Racial Identity group, Sexual Identity group ,and Gender identity group on a different scale bring Equality when it only cause's more separation, more entitlement and more conflict it never ends and always repeats and loops infinitely. The Human Race loves to be Spoiled, entitled and be self Greedy about anything they prefer this why we still have Racial Identity Sexual Identity , and Gender Identity social War Fare still to this day. The Human Race of people Today want to be Greedy, Entitled and Spoiled about Racial Identity, Sexual Identity ,Gender Identity ,and never look at each other's Human side for self closure. It's an extremely small minority of people who tried to boycott the game, an even smaller minority who are doing "horrible things to innocent people." Asmongold and other streamers are milking this for content because they understand their audience leans far-right and they can take advantage of their viewers' political biases. I've clocked in 60 hours, maybe halfway done. I love this game, and I only came across a few small bugs. The 4080 is cranking away just fine. The combat is amazing. The characters are amazing. The story is amazing. I'm hoping it will get even better.
