She might not be on high-end esports levels, but she does provide some enjoyable gameplay to people that watch her. Also, please consider there are vtubers that originally went with their faces and swapped over to vtubing, because people just cared about their looks (to stay family friendly in my wording, we both know what I mean here...), and not about the content they made. Yuzu for example was pretty big on TikTok before she went vtuber. And she did mention that experience a few times before. Acting as a vtuber gives some people the ability to stream good gaming content without being seen just for their real life appearance. (See Vienna, who is likely going to kick your butt, and mine, in most games she plays.)

The other thing is that, generally speaking, women are far far faaaaar more sensitive to social pressures than men are. Under the lens of identitarianism, we are not human, we are not important, we are merely sacks of flesh to be segregated and categorized. There is a massive difference between treating trans people like people, and treating trans people like trans. The more we perceive and treat people based off of nothing more than labels, the less human we all become because we will be treating each other like spreadsheets, rather than like human beings. You are proof of this, the people on twitter often claim they speak for all trans/lgbt/black/insert group here, but they don't. Unfortunately, people can make the comparison between an extremist feminist screeching that men are raping her with their mind, and the women in their day to day lives. The lgbt demographic is so small and so concentrated, that most people ONLY see the crazy extremists, so even if people try to be rational, the only experiences they have to base their perceptions on are the crazies, not normal people like you. So the radicals radicalize the moderates because they don't realize that the blade of identitarianism cuts it's wielder just as much as it cuts it's target, thus creating only more hatred and conflict than would exist otherwise.

I got blocked by a 'friend' for posting a picture of me watching someone else play the game. I was one of few who instantly supported their transition. They always posted hate towards other groups other than their own. Glad their insanity is removed from my feed lol.

It’s always some of the most miserable people who are just the worse. You want to support and help, but some of them are just beyond help, just so so hateful and negative. They create a cycle of hate and trap themselves in it, wondering why people avoid them. Being involved with them is just too much unnecessary drama and headaches. Glad they’re out of your life too.

@@jacobsegal6390 At this point though, the IP is such a cultural thing, recognized globally. People grew up loving the world and characters, not necessarily the author. You can have your opinions and reject the IP personally, but to bring out hate on other people who have loved the story and world does nothing. They are just enjoying something, everything doesn’t have to tie into politics. Yes she is being paid, but as terrible as her opinion is, it’s not illegal to have such opinions and she should be allowed to live and be paid for her positive contributions. Besides, there are always bad people related to everything enjoyable anyways, whether we realize it or not, don’t let them ruin the innocent fun of people.

@@ICM9 oh I agree completely about it being a cultural thing. Personally I’m crushed that JK has surrounded herself with the anti trans people but that just means that I’m not going to buy the game nor am I going to watch streams of it but that is my personal choice to make. People harassing others is completely unacceptable but that also applies to people being able to live their lives as they want without fear of being persecuted for their own gender dysphoria. Everything ties in to each other. Treat others the way you want to be treated. I don’t want to be harassed so I don’t harass people. Once again, completely unacceptable to harass people. Just don’t watch, the streamer may notice a dip if enough people don’t watch.

This whole debacle was part of the reason why Silvervale left Vshojo. The agency did nothing to help defend her. I was a a big fan of Vshojo at the time, but when they did nothing to help Silver, im a much lesser Vshojo fan now only really watching random clips that pop up on youtube.
