quite common in Remote IT work especially if they offer to give you salary monthly. thats like 1 month free work for the scammers (more if the scammers says they have to delay the payment). and you thought with these veterans, they would discuss a weekly salary or 2 weeks salary.

This reminds me of when I worked for a call center back in the early 2000’s. It was for Police and Firefighters. At the beginning; didn’t know how it worked. Became an assistant manager; found out the two brothers who ran the place were wealthy because of their parents and set it up as a disposable income type of setup. Shitty offices, crappy tech, low wage workers. They paid telephone companies, whatever amount of money, and we got names, addresses on stacks of paper that we had to manually enter into the system overnight. I learned, as an assistant manager - we only donated between 1-10% of our earnings to the police and firefighters. People would donate hundreds and thousands of dollars. Our callers, at the time would make like $6.25 an hour and would get anywhere from a $25.00-$100.00 cash bonus. Man, thinking back on it, I was a stupid kid who didn’t understand we were being used to rob people.

This is how all charities work. So long as they do what their statutes say (and it's best when they are vague on concrete action such as "raising awareness), it doesn't matter how much of their proceeds actually get to that target. All the employee wages, executive bonuses and other costs of doing business come first - and we all know how easy it is to inflate them, circle the wagons and make everything appear legit that only a single digit percent of the proceeds actually gets to where the donator thought it would.

I see a lot of people hating(lack of a better term) on the investors and I can see why it's just I think more people need to take a more empathetic approach. I used to work in banking and one of the things I was trained in was scams and fraud prevention. You'd be surprised who would come in and say they were scammed out of their money. It can happen to ANYBODY, even the people who say the victims are naive. Even Asmongold. All it takes is someone who is cleverer than you and everyone hates admitting someone got the best of them. I've been scammed while I worked in banking, didn't lose money but came close. Have some empathy for the victims because regardless of how you feel about them and what you may think of yourself it can happen to you.

This. The shaming these people are doing is also the reason these scams continue to happen, and why victims refuse to admit they’ve been scammed. They know they did something dumb. The last thing they want is someone who would not only point that out, but also shame and humiliate them for that

both things can be true. Im an adult and I know I will get destroyed if I go into this NFT playing field. If you know you are not a sly bastard, dont go into the field of high especulation and unpredictability. No one is saying they deserve it, but its also baffling how naive you can be in an enviroment where most is at each others throats in order to get the most profit possible. Yeah, fuck Logan Paul and his entourage, I hope they lose every single dime, but the investors, who were also playing the game of "I will come in cheap and I will get more value out of the people that come in later and maybe sell it to them for cheaper as well" are not saints either. Its harder for someone to get scammed if they know what they perform in an area that there is plenty of rules and knowledge. Its still happens, of course, but this also serves as a cautionary tale for everyone. Dont put a piece of juicy meat around your neck and jump into the lion's den, even more so if you dont know what you are doing.

Everyone seems to be forgetting that it was cryptoking who 'came up' with the idea. Yet somehow he was only contributed an advisor role for 5%. Now this is seen as "Logan's project" and he gets all (most) of the heat while cryptoking is just seen as a minor character. Add to this his reaction on the phone "It seems your biggest problem is me selling" (and not me being the guy who started all of this) seems to further enhance this point. Even though there's no hard proof, it sure seems like this guy had the entire thing planned out right from the start...

Cryptoking was in 250k and wanted a lot more than 6 million. He had to cashout early due to Logan screwing him over. Eddie Ibanez initially marketed the coin and is the con artist of the idea. Logan was just pawn to use for them. Logan couldnt build the game over tokens.

Technically Cryptoking screwed Logan and the rest over first. He wasn't supposed to have that much from the start but decided to bot buy and invest more than what the group decided on. He just for some reason thinks that the group locking 5 of his accounts that he used to overbuy "screwed him over". Dunno how that logic works but he essentially got mad they gave him a slap on the wrist for breaking the original agreed upon amount. Which they then gave him some of it back too lmao.

Nobody deserves to get scammed and scammers should face punishment. That being said, I have a really hard time feeling bad for the investors at the end there. They made the conscious decision to put their trust, faith and money into Logan Paul of all people. Logan Paul! At that point just give all your money to charity, at least it has some use and doesn't end up in the pocket of a POS that doesn't even need it in the first place... Edit: And as it turns out I still have too much faith in humanity because as someone pointed out, these investors probably just wanted to join in when the project was inevitably pulled which is a much more believable theory than adults trusting in Logan Paul. Fuck them!

Have this" Guess you gotta learn when you are giving your power away and turn away there, boundaries! Where's that button that if you click it, deals a deal and now you're out your hard earned gold and got some useless shit in return.

I know sooo many people that think history in highschool was boring and should not be taught at all. THIS. THIS IS WHY HISTORY IS IMPORTANT!! If you don't know the past you are willfully going into the future blind! So much of what will happen has already happened. History repeats itself constantly because we refuse to learn from it and while this isn't the most important example of that, it sure is the most high profile example!

this really feels like a half successful scam by the crypto king. he got logan to basically front everything and ultimately became the face of the whole idea that HE initiated. he obviously wanted it to succeed more than it did but purely so he could sell and make even more on launch and then he was going to dip regardless.

I still cannot believe Logan has not been put on trial or at the very least been publicly humiliated, loosing his fame and followers over all this BS. He is literally doing this for the FIFTH TIME IN A ROW! FFS how many chances does one man need? Wasn't his verture into that one forest enough for people to say 'i do not Trust this guys sanity'?

/whoosh moment Dude was saying he SHOULD be a man and cop to what he did. He wasn't saying that he's going to. Hell, he isn't even saying Logan should admit to scamming people. There's a HUGE gulf between silcence and admitting to fraud, most of which involve speaking up. But, Asmon does like to take every opportunity to point out victims of scams are to blame.

10:23 well, that's the risk with this stealth stuff: someone looking at the transactions can catch onto it, leverage the high volatility and trade in. Of course also someone in on the scam can do some underhand deals on the side.

The sad thing is with those that invest large sums into what turn out to be scams they're often in denial. It's all how this one just didn't work but the next one will. It's however amusing in respect of those behind it to see there appears to really be no honour among thieves.

At the end this got really close to victim blaming.. Yes, don't be stupid and don't give away your money. But they are still victims, and the fault is with the scammers who should be behind jail. No amount of naivety or stupidity on the part of the victims changes that.

7:54 Wouldn't that be some form of insider trading to buy a significant amount of the supply, right before an announcement made by themselves that would definitely drive the price up? These tokens would be some form of OTC security. I was not able to verify whether that is legal or not, the Wikipedia article only says insider trading is for publicly traded companies stock or securities. All of this seems wildly unregulated. This would probably fall under wire fraud actually.

After watching this again.. I find it interesting how Eddie was able to finesse Steve Ross ceo of the Miami dolphins. Steve Ross is more than likely a huge con artist himself who somehow got in charge of a wayward franchise. The nfl actually suspended Ross for some of the 2022 season as the league continues to investigate him. I'm referring to the text messages at the 320 time stamp.

@mrszmatan2727
@mrszmatan2727 Жыл бұрын
I'd say that, it's easier for me to be convinced that murder was justified than this type of scam. i don't mean just scamming as stealing to survive, because it's actually quite easy to defend reasoning behind it, you can aknowledge it's wrong but you can see why someone would believe it is right. I feel same about some murder cases, I know they are terrible, but I understand why murderer would believe he is in the right. This type of behavior, I can't find a way to justify it. Logan Paul is already rich, he pretty much can afford everything he would reasonably need, even if he needed expensive surgery for family member or other thing like that which could make people go soft.
