Maybe it was a little easier for me because you have told me some of the things before 🙂 Also, I have found more things that are similar between us, are you surprised? 😂 I flew for the first time when I was 18, my family was not into big fly-to-different-country vacations, and my parents had me when they were older than most. 🙂

It's not weird to not go on a plane until you're an adult. My family always drove to Florida for vacation or drove to new England etc. My sister and I all flew for the first time in 2006. We were all adults and we all went on different trips lol

That bean curd story made me laugh, it’s always so funny to me how small and scattered a little kid's understanding of the world is. I’m reminded of a time my mom brought me to something she was doing at her old high school-I can’t have been older than four. I was sat with some of the kids she was working with, and they tried to explain to me that I was in Indiana, visiting from Illinois. I then took it upon myself to explain that really, I was from the United States of America. I’m still not sure if I genuinely thought I had left the country to this far-off land of Indiana, but I declared it nonetheless 😂

Some ASMR artists are under the mistaken impression that listening to them ramble about their daily lives is relaxing. It is no more relaxing to listen to an ASMR artist ramble on about themselves than it is to listen to anyone ramble on about themselves. ASMR is there in an attempt to relax people. Rambling on about one's life is not relaxing it is self-focused, and is counterproductive to relaxation.

Some people are under the mistaken impression that everyone gets asmr from the same triggers. Or maybe they are just confused and think every whispering video must also be about personal care in order to be relaxing.

I just stumbled upon this comment and just wanted to point out that my favorite videos are the ones where I can learn about other people out there. I believe you are under the mistaken impression that talking about one's life is self-absorbed, when in reality being unable to listen when people talk about their lives IS self-absorbed.
