Love, love, love to all you great thinkers out there! Thank you for being here and I hope you'll really enjoy this casual philosophy chat. I used a pretty natural speaking voice for this one, but you can skip to the 37 minute mark for pure book sounds, too. I'm sure there will be some disagreements about philosophers, philosophies, interpretations, and modern purveyors of these thoughts, but I hope my remarks come off as respectful and reflective. Stoicism, Skepticism, and Epicureanism may or may not resonate with you and I'm definitely not here to evangelize. But I think each school is rife with wisdom and I just ask that discussion remains respectful. (You all are always awesome about disagreeing respectfully and I can't tell you how refreshing it is.) Memento Mori, Amor Fati, but mostly, love life and each other ❤ Recommended readings are in the video description!

Spring, when the history of ASMR is written, there is no doubt in my mind you will go down as one of the greatest ASMRtists of all time and your return to KZbin will be documented as one of the greatest events to ever occur in the ASMR community. I love it, too. Marcus was incredibly eloquent and had the charisma and patience to convey Stoicism in a digestible way. Epictetus is great and such a straight shooter, but he's also cantankerous and unflinching. It can be alienating in ways that Marcus avoids.
@kevingonzalez18342 ай бұрын
@@SpringbokASMR "You have power over your mind - not outside events. Realize this, and you will find strength." That quote is at the bottom of my email signature for work. But yes, Marcus was truly a rarity in leadership and mankind. An emperor and yet, highly relatable man in his nuanced depictions of his own life. Huge fan of the premeditatio malorum attitude.
