Firstly, congrats on 1k! Secondly, at 11:30 I'm not really hearing the words you're saying. If your saying "megera" (the GE sound is pronounced as you would pronounce it in "jelly"), it doesn't have a male form in italian. It's also a very derogatory term, used to insult women, a synonim for evil, associated with the figure of an old, cruel, crone. If the second word is "maciara", is a word from a southern dialect, so not exaclty something that an italian would use when talking about witchcraft.

You can read his work here (it’s fantastic!): www.routledgehandbooks.com/pdf/doi/10.4324/9781003010296-6 And if you read Italian, Mariana Montesano also writes about the etymology of the different terms for witch in Italy and it’s fascinating! My facts are very stripped down versions of the real source material, so I’m always happy to provide further reading ✨🧙🏻‍♀️

Also, I'm italian, and trying to document myself on the wiccan wordl, so what I wrote in my previous comment comes from personal experience! If I were to call someone a "megera" I would probably receive a slap, and if I said "maciara" no one would probably understand me except for people from the south probably.
