I've been into the speaking kind of ASMR decades ago. I'd make video edits to infomercials and ask teachers to let me copy the audio off tapes used in film strips. Of course, this meant I was always staring off into space during eye exams. Falling asleep in class. Some kids shows were nice. I got a big collection of internet instructional videos. I made an edited list of David Firth videos, I love his audio work. All kinds of stuff. My friend would come over and tinker with some old PC stuff I collected, and it was pretty quiet, just the sound of a fan and me watching and listening to him mutter to himself and get things working. Its how I learned to work on PC hardware and troubleshoot software. Books make my head split open, but I remember all sorts of things from watching and listening instead.
