I think the biggest lesson I learned from this season is that star power alone can not win you a championship anymore. The lebron, KD, curry era, and even the early 2000s era where shaq and kobe carried wont happen anymore. Dynasties are a thing of the past in my opinion, due to the old stars fading away and the new stars all rising at the same time. You need to have a well rounded team, top to bottom, with a reputable and skilled supporting cast to have a shot at a championship. Its also probably due to how much parity there is in the nba now, with both the east and west being noticeably more balanced than previous years. As a mavs fan myself, I feel that point describes our season well. We traded for skilled roleplayers at the trade deadline, which made our run possible, but we were still simply outmatched by the supporting cast of the celtics in the finals. Still ill look back on this season fondly, with hopes of reaching that stage again!

I thought it was a pretty good season overall but agree the Playoffs had the potential to be much better if not for injuries. Most memorable thing is how the newer generation fully took over the league as the bigger stars fade. Great video though!

Even tho the pacers got swept and Mavs didn’t, I lowkey think the pacers were closer to beating the Celtics. Pacers choked 3 of the 4 games. They could have easily been 3-1 up if they knew how to close. Crazy to think about…
