I'm autistic myself and it's actually a really common trope that somehow "autism" causes us to do violence. It doesn't at all. There's an old myth that autistic people "lack empathy," but it's based on a very old understanding of empathy. Now we know that empathy has several forms and autistic people may struggle with one or two of those, but we still do have empathy. We're just different in how we express ourselves. :)

The way you described the reasoning?/possible cause of jens case was perfect! I was thinking exactly that, what if her parents accepted her passion and that she wasn’t great at school? She might not have had do lie, it might not have turned out how it did. Just interesting to think how a seemingly harmless action of Jennifers parents redirecting her to what they wanted her passion to be, ends up causing a chain of events which ultimately ends the her mothers life. Edit: In no way am I trying to imply it’s the parents fault, Jennifer is the reason that happened and she should be held accountable.
