Thank you to the lovely Creative Calm ASMR for taking on the dubious role of "ENGLISH ACCENT." You can (and should!) subscribe to her here: goo.gl/41MV6U
(Note: We can hear each other, but not see each other! If it looks funny to anyone hehe, we both recorded on our own end and Shawn stitched us together for maximum quality!!!)
Enjoy the brash, straightforward American version in your left ear, and the fancy, smooth English accent in your right. We tried to keep this as ASMR as possible but....there is quite a bit of uncontrollable giggling involved hahaha. hence the "?" in the title. I had so much fun filming this (at my 4 in the morning...!!) and I hope you enjoy it!
Timestamps TBA, but here is the list of words!
Round 1

I find that I get a lot of comments and messages about using ASMR for anxiety, depression, and more. I can totally relate with that, and ASMR is an awesome outlet for those things. However, if you’re interested, above is a link to a website with real, professional & licensed counselors. You can type to them, or call them! It’s actually a really cool service and I use it personally. It costs as low as $35 a week, and you don’t have to leave your house to use it. :)
FTC: By using my BetterHelp referral link you are supporting this channel. I receive commissions on any sales, but I only promote products I believe in. (I use this website to talk to my own personal therapist!)
I also donate regularly to The Brain and Behavior Research Foundation. I highly recommend it! They give grants to scientists who do studies to better understand and treat mental illnesses.

Also, we (Norwegians) learn English in school, but after school I think most of us (at least I) grow into speaking American english instead, because that's what you hear on the radio and in movies and commercials and everything else. So I usually know both the English and American words/pronounciations for most things, but American english is what feels most "normal" to speak.

This is American vs Posh British Accent. Something a lot of people don’t realise is that the UK has a countless number different accents eg. Brummie, Geordie, Scouse, Southern, Yorkshire accent and many more. Also not everyone pronounces ‘A’s as like ‘ar’. Some people say class as class or some as clarsse. I think we’re just a lil bit special aren’t we :,)))

The Mighty Drakonis i really hope this is true. I could say the word ‘perambulator’ and people would think I was taking the mick, but it would be correct haha. Given that my phone recognised it as a word, It’s safe to say that you’re right

I commented this and then scrolled down to realise it had already been said haha. But yes it came from the latin perambulo meaning "I walk along/ I roam" (and perambulo is broken between the latin words "per" meaning through/thoroughly and "ambulo" meaning I walk)

I loved this. Mostly because I am a fan of both of you, so it is cool seeing you working together. But also because I worked in The Hague for the UN as an intern while in law school with people from all over Europe, so this was like so many conversations I had over there. I was the resident "typical American guy." There was a Welsh guy named Robert who sat at the desk beside mine and we talked about all of this stuff.
