Hi George. Thanks for the 'Origin Story'. As a man slightly older than yourself (a former red beard now gone white) I enjoy your videos on beard care and sundry. Shared a cup of coffee with you this morning as well. Best of luck on whichever path you choose "Not all who wander are lost." journey on.

I have been on a journy over the past few months of personal growth and development. For the past year now ive been in a rut of feeling so stuck on a path that seemed to have been going nowhere, until i joined a business that demanded i make myself better in order to do better business. I started replacing toxic people in my life with those that uplifted me, and stretched my vision. I now spend time reading, listening and watching men who live the life i want to live and give advice, applicable advice, on how to get there. Since then my developments are coming in surges. You are one of these people who help in ways you may never see, but i want to thank you for creating your content, and know that it has made a monumental impact in my life! It is a blessing that Your videos came across my suggestions, thanks for all you do and helping me become unstuck and be a better man. Ill be watching for more content eagerly sir, don't ever stop doing what you do!

Great morning conversation with a cup of joe, and the wonderful sounds of the North American Robin while in sunrise. I'm a couple of years to late on most of your teachings, and inspirational videos, but the best part is that they have no expiration dates. Meant to viewed anywhere, anytime, and by anyone. Thanks Grey!

I certainly appreciate your thoughts and wisdom, and admire how you speak openly and from the heart. I started following you from the first day I put the razor down 14 months ago just for the beard tips, I've grown with you, loving all you have to say. I hope and pray you will continue to have the strength and motivation to make these videos for us, you're a positive person who spreads good vibes around the world, even to me way down here with the crocodiles in Queensland Australia 😉

I've always associated the Gray Bailey channel as an adult beard/masculine Mr Rogers Neighborhood... You sir resonate in my mind as Fred Rogers. This is high praise in my universe.

Hey fellow traveler, life travel that is. I appreciate your well rounded approach to your channel. I started a channel a while ago. its more geared to RV life and remodel but it has not been really heavenly viewed. not that that's a measure of success on me. I'm retired now from active duty and will be doing more on it. why am I sharing this with you? you my friend are an inspiration to do... I started my years and because of watching feel compelled to share that journey with others as well as my two year struggle through living full time in an RV. Anyway thank you for you message and being so honest with your life.

Even though I have a very hard head, much of what you've been saying is sinking in and sticking to this mid 50's year old brain. I've watched you starting June/July of 16' when I was looking for a good mustache trimming video. Thanks for reaching me through your instruction and inspiration. The wheels are slowly getting unstuck(they've been stuck for a long time) and I'm starting to move in my life. Thanks again G.B.!

One of my biggest setbacks in life is that I've never had any goals. My beard is now 6 months along and is THE only goal that I've ever set for myself. I have problems looking to the future and seeing past the here and now. I know that there are people who go through harder times than me, but "battling" through today's issues has been all I can muster. Now that I'm 40, it deeply saddens me.

Well, regardless of your history or mindset right now, I believe in you and believe you can do it. The ONE thing you have control over, when everything else seems out of control, is your mindset and thoughts.

I had a beard about 2" longer than yours and very much enjoyed it, I met a girl on Facebook dating that was in my age group (I'm 62). Swore I would never cut it, and asked this girl to help me let go of the past and she help me trim it, she said it would be an honor to help me, 5 months later during a video chat she suggested I would be more attractive (to her) if I trimmed it, she never met me in person even when I made a in person date, I agreed based on how comfortable I was at the point and took about 6" off of it leaving still what would be considered long, she was surprised that I cut it off, then ghosted me for the next 5 weeks, resurfaced after Christmas, said she was not a good friend for bailing, then completely ghosted me only to resurface in a relationship with another guy that had more resources than me, I was traded up, and lost part of my body in the process. Never again will I give in to anyone wanting me to give up part of my body, it's so shallow.

The first video of yours that I watched was "Pipesmoking: The Real Reason Why," which I discovered the other day while looking for something on the topic of pipes. For a brief moment, I imagined R Crumb's comic character, Mr Natural, had somehow come to life - though he can tend to be a bit snarky, which you're not. Today I found this video, which I enjoyed immensely. It's gratifying to cross paths, cyber-wise, with someone who's making life work. You've mentioned that you have a nearly insatiable appetite for reading and learning - and teaching. That's a combination that can do the world much good. It's possible that in your reading travels you've encountered the following quote, though maybe not. In any event, I hope it resonates with you as much as it does with me. "You and I want our lives to matter. We want our lives to make a real difference - to be of genuine consequence in the world. We know that there is no satisfaction in merely going through the motions, even if those motions make us successful, or even if we have arranged to make those motions pleasant. We want to know we have made some impact on the world. In fact, you and I want to contribute to the quality of life. We want to make the world work." (Werner Erhard) Thanks so much for what you bring to the party. I'm glad I found you online! P.S. - Here's another favorite quote: "At the moment of commitment the entire universe conspires to assist you."

Hi GB, what should I be doing with the rogue hairs that pop up in my beard? It's a red beard that is mostly straight but I get the occasional black/wirey hairs that are a different texture (even corkscrew shaped). Some of them are plucked out so easily I can't even feel them being plucked out.

You did do something different though. Sure there are good beard channels like Beardbrand but they don't do marketing/sales/life advice. Plus there's only so many beard trim videos you can watch before it gets as boring as watching shit fossilize. I think your approach makes it seem much more interesting. You've also been successful in business which again, adds value. I'd rather take infomercial advice from Joe Sugarman (20,000,000 pairs of BluBlockers) over the guy that sold 5 encyclopedias. It's the same with you, you're an expert in many fields and that.....adds value! Hahaha.

Good morning George. It's me Carlos Puga. I want to start producing videos here on KZbin, but I am fighting nervousness, fear, and insecurity. Which is unusual for me. I am a very social person. Did you go through the same?
@ListenMySon7 жыл бұрын
Hi Carlos. I never had that issue. One the things that would help is if you speak on what you are good at or very interested in. That usually helps a person speak more confidently. What is your goal with a channel? A clearly defined goal is another way to appear more confident.
