Hey Mauve! I read War and Peace a year ago and all I have to say is: brace yourself! It's going to be an emotional rollercoaster. Have napkins on standby, notify your family that you'll be gone for at least 3 months, and bring a change of clothes for the absolute wreck of a camping trip you're about to embark on.

Oh I love these videos. Anything that has to do with books, really. You have great taste. Rebecca is such a good novel! My Cousin Rachel is also a great one. @@MauveASMR I've only ever read the Penguin edition, which I think is the Anthony Briggs translation. It's very flowery, bordering purple, which critics say isn't very true to the Russian text. I've not read it since high school, and I did enjoy the Pevear and Volokhonsky translations of Dostoevsky, so I might just jump on it with you :) How are you liking it so far?

Oo yay! It’s so exciting when you start to get into reading! I’d recommend starting with shorter and less “intimidating” books; nothing too long or hard to get through (probably good to avoid classics at first unless there’s something that you really WANT to read, rather than books you feel like you SHOULD read). Is there a particular genre that interests you? Thriller? Romance? Fantasy? I’d think about what you might be interested in and look on goodreads to see what is trending/recommends. There are soooo many books out there, there is something for everyone. Don’t forget that audiobooks are also an option ☺️✨

As italian i would reccommend you the book Strangers I know from Claudia Durastanti. For me, Durastanti is one of the most interesting and promising author in Italy right now!

I love these things! They fit my head nicely and they don't hurt my ears. I have small ears and they get really sore when using headphones. These eliminate that problem, after I've tried probably 10 different brands and types. My husband snores. Not super awful, but bad enough that at times I've had to leave the room. These don't 'cancel' the noise, but because they fit snugly to my ears I can easily ignore what does come through. I have a white noise KZbin video that I use to sleep because, more than the snoring, I have tinnitus. I have since I was a child, so sleep and I have never been friends. But the "space ship" sound at a moderate-low volume with these earphones is enough to blend out other distractions. Since I've had these...I ACTUALLY SLEEP. And that's saying something. These make my sleep more consistent. I don't wake up every hour on the hour, anymore. You can take calls with these, too, but I haven't. After all, I bought them for sleep. The sound is fine. Not Bose quality, of course, but perfect for what they are meant for. I'd say they'd be good for walking or running activities, as well. Honorable mention - the battery life is outstanding! It takes very little time to charge and after 8-10 hours of sleep I still have 70% charge left! That's convincing enough for me! I'd recommend these to anyone.

Do you have a book channel? Or ever thought about having one? You have great taste! I’ve read quite a few of the ones you have and there are some I’m certainly interested in reading. Just finished Argonauts by Maggie Nelson and it is fantastic! What a great collection you have.
