The ASMR Chemistry topic for this video is one of my favorites: Intermolecular Forces (IMF). We’ll be reviewing this topic and going over examples that show the 4 most important types.
The 4 most important types of intermolecular forces are:
1) Ion-Dipole
2) Dipole-Dipole
3) Instantaneous Dipole (a.k.a. London Dispersion Forces, a.k.a. Van der Waals Forces)
4) Hydrogen Bonding
At the end, I explain how life on Earth would not be the same if Hydrogen Bonding did not exist. That is a great example of why it’s important to understand intermolecular forces!
This channel is dedicated to ASMR Chemistry and helping you learn chemistry in the most relaxed, chill way. Maybe even fall asleep. :)

Got some A level exams for chemistry in a couple of weeks and these vids are helping me brush up on missed teaching from covid-19. Much love

Hey, just wondering if you’d be interested in doing some “chemistry for dummies” videos ? I love your videos your voice and the scratchy paper is god tier asmr for me, but I struggle to follow some of what your saying haha 😂 just a suggestion. Even a video where you explain some terminology and write down some word meanings would be fun !

@sleeping fossil - I love this idea! When I started, I decided to just teach topics from the courses that I teach anyway, but since then I've realized there's so much more I could do, and this is really a great suggestion. I'll put it on my list of future videos! Thank you!!

Hi again! Is my latest video in line with what you were thinking? Might be good to have a whole series on chem basics. Let me know, and thanks again for the feedback and idea! :)
