@@orangeslurp you got this child of God just remember God’s word says “ he will never give us more than we can handle”(paraphrased) you flee and choose not to look (which is a form of fleeing) The book of Job talks about this “ I choose not to look at a virgin maiden” (paraphrased) but this is more of a looking “lustily” look which is obviously different than a normal look. Appreciate your opening up especially on the p*rn addiction, every day I fight it. Addiction to cam girls and OF, so accessible, I've spent so much money on it and I hate myself for it. Truthfully though I don't do enough battling it, like you said about ripping out socials and changing settings and cutting it little by little, I can do better.

Thank you so much for talking about this, Dottie, I love how you really dove into how decietful and manipulative the world can be, and how it affects us in our daily lives. I think the tragic thing about lust is that sexual desire is indeed something that God has given us as a legitimate pleasure to be experienced between a husband and wife, but as with anything, when we arrogantly reject God and His statutes and try to do things our own way, we take something that was made to be perpetually novel and beautiful and distort it into something destructive and meaningless, it should fulfill us, but it leaves us empty. We try to fill the void in our heart with lusts of the flesh when only God can truly fill it, and with Him and the new life He gives us through His Son, every aspect of life that once felt devoid of purpose takes on a rich new meaning. I'm not in a relationship, I'm not sure if I'll ever meet the right girl, I'm way too shy to approach anyone, and anytime I meet someone I'm interested in, I'm afraid I'm not good enough for her. I don't want to be a slave to lust, I don't want to be so desperate for love that I look for it in all the wrong places and end up destroying myself, I pray every day that God would help me discipline myself to be the man that He wants me to be, and that if He does have someone for me, that I could love her and honor her as best I could.

Thank you for talking about this, lust is the thing I struggle the most with, and I truly don't want to be a slave to this devilish thing. I often pray to ask God to change my heart, and I've started to pray the Holy Rosary every day, and ask the Holy virgin Mary to pray for me and help me make my heart pure again. Bless you!

Lust is a primal instinct designed for us to continue as a species. Although, we should avoid these primal instincts like glutony and lust etc because it removes all reason and logic. It's our primal programming that has to be controlled via scripture, devotion and discipline. Man should strive to be better than our primal urges and practise self control. Liike you said, lust or this "primal instinct" should not control us just like any other addiction. Regret or knowing that you have sinned is a sign that you have gods presence.

Anybody watching, i had a porn addiction. I was so deep in it. It was killing who GOD wanted me to become. It was killing my confidence and I struggled with it for years. I struggled with lust. I looked at plenty women for the body or appearance rather than who they are. I would try to please them with stuff they liked to talk to them. But GOD saved my life. GOD freed me and broke those chains off of me. I’m telling you GOD can do the same for your. I surrendered, repent and turned away and He came and Got me. He can save you to🙏🏽✝️❤️

So why do we people lust? Maybe because it's one of the human instincts not to say the mightiest one, because it gives us pleasure and evidently because it's so accessible. In Islam, the prohibition to sin is called "Taghva" which simply means "Not doing" or refrain. It's said to elevate the Taghva in one's soul, you first need to control your evil within which is called "Nafs". Almost all the temptations stem from our "Nafs" and we're kind of slave of it.

lust can absolutely rot the brain and distort your view on sex, relationships, and how you perceive the sex you’re attracted to. i’m in no way trying to shame you for having these temptations, but it would be truly beneficial for you to practice not acting upon them. and after a while of doing this, i believe you will be a lot happier with yourself. this is coming from someone who struggles with lust themselves. it is truly a hard battle to fight, but i find myself a lot happier when im not being lustful
