I think a lot of the practitioners of this stuff actually believe it. They can't *all* be cynical fraudsters. Ultimately, if you go to something like this and it doesn't harm you and you just relax and enjoy yourself, good. No harm, no foul. Obviously, this isn't going to actually heal or affect one's liver.

And this shit isn't cheap. Imagine that your loved one was the one being fooled by this. Imagine it was your terminally ill loved who can barely afford this. That's the harm: telling people they can help them when they're either lying OR dumb enough to believe this nonsense themselves. It's sad.
