This Friday I put in a Nexplanon. The doctor put a bandaid on and told me to not take it off until one week has passed, which means that I was supposed to take it off on Friday. Well my adhd completely took over and I started picking on it and the next day (Saturday) I removed it. Personally I don't understand why I should have it for a whole week. It wasn't an open wound the day after so I think it's fine. But also I'm not a doctor, I'm a 16 year old student.
