i really, truly needed this. as someone who suffers from pure o- ocd and has for years, it is so nice to see representation and not only that, but affirmations. this video gives me a lot of hope, because ocd feels so long-lasting and i'm trying to convince myself i won't suffer forever, and i hope you don't either. to anyone out there suffering- it's gonna be okay, and you are not strange.

@@ldjt6184Something that helped me was to really talk to other people and realize that everyone has some levels of obssessions and rumination, it’s normal in the human brain nowadays when we have this constant “reminders” (media rumination) That alerts our brain all the time… I think people the develops ocd are caring and sensitive people, who wants to change or correct what’s wrong in the world or with themselfs . Needless to say there’s nothing wrong with you and the world is not your job… Also, get in touch with nature (look at the sky…trees more often), get out of instagram, etc. Important to have a psychiatrist you trust. I met one that said me it it cureable and that anxiaty can later manifest in other forms but i can “break the cycle”. When you’re thinking too much focus on how you’re feeling, like… am i scared of what exactly? I wanna do this or that or im scared that i would want to do this or that? Im scared of something actually happening like everyone is or scared of my react to it? Or of judgement? 😂 said a lot but time certainly will make it go away, eventually you will see it for what it is , wont feel so strange and will have more understanding of the world than most . Seems faar but will be ok .

Obsessive ruminations and compulsive negative thinking (and feelings), not only led to a ton of depression in my life, but even very serious physical illness. But, at some point (out of necessity) I learned the concept of "surrender" and mindfulness/presence, and it was pretty literally a life-saver for me. After making really good progress on my OCD several years back, I've let myself slip back into really bad habits again in recent months, and this video actually helped me remember those techniques. I truly needed this, thank you.

Honestly this made me feel like crying (in a good way). I’ve been struggling badly with my undiagnosed pure o-ocd for over a year now and it’s truly awful and frustrating. I remember when I was first starting with the thoughts I went to the hospital thinking I was in psychosis. Thank you for this video, it’s so helpful to see people who are feeling the same things. I feel less alone ❤️

I had never heard the term Pure O OCD before in my life. Only OCD and didn't think that was fitting to my situation. But what you described fits my situation exactly. This means that I have something clear that I can fight against. Something that has research that I can look up. And the fact that Pure O OCD exists also means that what is in my head is NOT REAL. And this, however short of a moment, made me tear up out of happiness. Thank you.

You can't just watch a 38 minute video and decide you have something. You should go and get professionally diagnosed. There's a lot more to it than that. And a lot of conditions overlap. I was diagnosed with two things but now they're thinking it was a misdiagnosis of OCD. You really don't know until you check.
