Merry Christmas everybody! This video is not a replacement for getting help by a mental health professional, but I hope that helps you get some relief from your obsessive and compulsive thinking nonetheless. Trust me I know how dark, scary, and REAL it can all feel. Stay strong and know that you WILL be ok and you CAN get better! A great place to start getting help if you need it for OCD is NOCD. Check it out here:

You know, I was thinking, why is Superstar so good at this (alleviating my own OCD-induced anxiety with ASMR)? and it dawned on me: because he has OCD himself, so he knows what actually works. I'm really glad I found this channel a few months ago, because it literally helps calm my nerves and quiet my brain, even if for just a few minutes. The sporadic tingles here and there are just a bonus. Happy Holidays everyone.

100% agree. I do have diagnosed OCD myself and have lived with it for 10+ years since childhood with it focusing on a variety of themes over time. So I really do know what it's like! So glad I could help you out and I wish you all the best with everything

I like how you actually tackle the topics you mention in ur caption, while other asmrtists will say “ASMR FOR ANXIETY” and it’s just them doing random triggers and it’s the same content that they might put out for any other view.

Hey, Superstar! I only started listening to ASMR videos just the other day. I came across one of your OCD videos and fell in love with it. Your presence is amazingly relaxing and comforting. I love the brush sounds you make and the way you whisper. It makes me feel like everything is gonna be okay. I’ve been battling horrible anxiety for over a month now, and I listened to one of your videos today while just laying outside in the sun. I was amazed at how relaxed I felt. For the first time in a long while, I actually felt peace. Thank you so much for what you’re doing. I appreciate what people like you do; it almost brings tears to my eyes because so many people find relief from their suffering with videos like this. God bless you. 💜

aw this comment makes me smile so much and im so so happy I could help in anyway. What I've found is that even though these videos target OCD which has a lot to do with being able to handle uncertainty, the same principles apply to most other general anxiety too because anxiety really is all about uncertainty and fear in some way. Regardless of what you are battling, I wish you all the best and believe in you! don't ever forget how strong you are!

I’ve been being treated for anxiety since middle school, and only recently found out about OCD (that isn’t the stereotypical handwashing/contamination OCD you see on TV anyway) and I’ve just had a therapist confirm I’ve absolutely got OCD; but I haven’t gotten far into treatment yet so finding stuff that helps to stop the obsessions enough to really relax is hard. Thank you so much for your fantastic ASMR 😊

My sweet superstar, I think you misunderstood what OCD is. It is normal to think about your problems in your life, to have anxiety, to have obsessions, it is part of the natural mechanism of the brain to solve problems, that is what drives life forward. It will be much worse to be complete careless about your surrounding problems, to live in a false paradise !
@Michellusschellus
@Michellusschellus 7 ай бұрын
The thing is that in OCD it’s completely irrational and too much. Everybody worried abt sth at some point, but not as much as sb with OCD. For example, I sometimes wake up being scared I might’ve hurt somebody and forgot due to sleepiness. It’s eating me up to the point of locking my room at night, writing down when I last locked the door, hiding my key inside of my wardrobe and closing the wardrobe with tape just so I can see if I had left my room the next day.
@FORTASIVOINTA
@FORTASIVOINTA 7 ай бұрын
@@Michellusschellus That sounds aggravating, you need to see a psychologist, you will not solve that problem with ASMR.
@superstarasmr4367
@superstarasmr4367 7 ай бұрын
No I did not misunderstand what OCD is as I am clinically diagnosed with it myself. Anxiety is just an emotion which everyone does experience but I actually wouldn't necessarily make the argument you make that it is normal to have "obsessions" as that is not as common. Nonetheless, OCD is a cycle of anxiety that results from needing 100% certainty. Someone with OCD does not ever get this sense of certainty (about any frightening subject, but most well known is having gotten contaminated) and in an effort to reassure themselves they make the cycle stronger. People with OCD can also get anxiety from the thought they "could" do something bad or that something doesn't feel "just right." It leaves the sufferer with a constant feeling of dread, doubt, guilt, and fear, that makes it feel as if they cannot enjoy life forever. So while it is possible to live in a "false paradise" for people that have too little anxiety, people with untreated OCD basically live in a "false hell" because their problems feel fully real even though they are not.
@superstarasmr4367
@superstarasmr4367 7 ай бұрын
Michellusschellus, that sounds very diffucult and i'm so sorry you are in a dark place right now but I completely understand. I would highly recommend openning up to someone you trust about this if you haven't already and seeking out therapy either yourself or through a parent. Make sure the therapist is trained or specializes in ERP, exposure & response prevention. A great place to start is the app/website NOCD. I am not a therapist, but I can tell you that all of those behaviors you are doing to reassure yourself you did not hurt someone in the middle of the night only make the OCD much stronger and more real over time. If you think it's possible for you, try to start doing less and less of those compulsive/reassuring behaviors and expose yourself to the uncertainty and possibility of this fear being true for as long as you can without reassuring mentally or physically. It will feel very uncomfortable at first but you will slowly break the delusion and find more peace. This work is definitely better to be done alongside an ERP therapist and not on your own. Stay strong you got this! come back to my videos whenever you need
@FORTASIVOINTA
@FORTASIVOINTA 7 ай бұрын
@@superstarasmr4367 First of all, I did not say that it is desirable to live in a false paradise, on the contrary, sometimes it is unavoidable to face hellish reality if you want to learn deep lessons about life and harden your character. Then, imagine what will be life without "obsessions" (passions), a blank sheet of paper, a boring, mechanical wasting of time !
