🌱 what is ASMR?🌱
ASMR, or Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response, is described as a tingly sensation or feeling that travels from the base of the scalp down the limbs and can manifest in different parts of the body. It causes a lovely, relaxing feeling to the people who experience it, as well as sometimes pleasant 'shivers', and can help with things like insomnia or trouble sleeping. It can occur in situations like hearing a particular sound or 'trigger', and many people experience varying degrees of the phenomenon. Not everyone who listens or watches ASMR videos experiences the sensation however! Some people utilize the sounds of a soothing voice or certain trigger(s) to help fall asleep or relax, without feeling the 'tingles'. It is a blossoming community online, whose main purpose is to bring tranquility and tingles to whoever enjoys it! ✧

Please don't be ashamed if you "can't speak perfectly" Italian in your video! I think we can all say we enjoy them so much (if not we wouldn't ask for :) ). I myself live in an English speaking country and have the same issues: misspelling, hard times remembering the correct words, etc.; after all, speaking another language isn't easy. But listening to your voice in my language it's just so relaxing, nobody would judge you for grammar mistakes! Continua così che sei fantastica :* (p.s. One question perhaps you could answer in writing that I have been wondering: What is the Italian term of endearment that Nonna uses? The one that sounds like "pupin"? And what is the closest English translation? I have tried to look it up, which I assumed would be easy, but I've never felt like I've found the exact term. I am SO glad to hear that you enjoy making the Alien Professor videos, because they are some of my all-time faves! And doubly stoked to hear that more Connie is coming. I've gone on the record in these comments before that I am 100% all about the Connieverse...I would really love a "future" Connie sometime (AKA in the present) to see what she's been up to (but still open ended enough that she can still have surprising adventures in the 80s). I am still very attached to the idea that the punk rock babysitter is her niece that was influenced by Connie's new wave record collection! PS I am so excited that you found the specific first intentional ASMR video you watched from 2007, I am definitely going to check that out for myself. I know my first one was a Heather Feather (still one of the GOAT in my opinion) after many years of just thinking what would come to be known as ASMR was just a feeling I got that I had no idea was so widespread. I used to call it my "brain buzz" which is still a term I like to use. Did anyone else reading this have your own term to describe ASMR before you discovered the term?

Yes I do!!! In order to get that pastel purple or gray, you need to bleach first! And then tone after that... I also use a purple shampoo to tone when I don't have the time to dye! ^^
