The “being put under” part has become so soothing to me. I used to be TERRIFIED to be under anesthesia, like almost panic inducing…but after needed emergency gallbladder surgery, it wasn’t all that bad! Truly just feels like a nice deep sleep. ❤️❤️ I love your videos so much.

I had surgery once and when they injected the product to make me sleep, I remember feeling like a burning/electric wave going up my arm, panicking and thinking "it's gonna reach my heart and I'm gonna die", before it all went dark. It scared me so much that when I had surgery for the 2nd time I was super nervous. The anesthesiologist said she didnt want me to fall asleep in that state so she gave me something to relax. Few seconds later I was giggling and when they injected the product, last thing I thought was "ouh waw this is like an off switch!" 😂 Well your video has the 2nd surgery vibe, it makes me feel like sleep is as easy as switching a light off

same! I had a recent surgery where i recalled that the anesthetic was really painful and burning and it really shocked me as I could feel it crawling up my veins before passing out got a second surgery soon, maybe I should tell the anesthesiologist so i dont freak out again

When I had anesthesia, I actually didn't feel anything. As the injection was injected, I was out within seconds.

@@ericpeng8604 i’m an anesthesia tech student and the burning sensation is unfortunately unavoidable due to the anesthetic (propofol) itself. we sometimes add a little lidocaine to ease the pain upon administering it but sometimes youre left with the sting regardless. hope this clears up some stuff. :)

Not that what happened to me but yours made me think of mine lmao I was telling them what the stuff they use to clean the iv line tasted like how some markets smell like and when they injected the stuff that knocks ya out they asked qhat it tasted like. Lmao I was out like a light but it didn't taste like anything but sure made me feel fuzzy

I've had at least 7 surgeries that I can list off of the top of my head that required full anesthesia and weirdly enough, I find the process calming??? Nobody seems to understand but finding this video makes me feel so much more normal for it 💙 Thank you for the long content!!

ive had three surgeries in my whole life and only have had a bad reaction to anesthesia once. it was because it messed with a medication i was on and i didn't know it would mess with it. the surgeon told me i started to wake up and it freaked him out haha. luckily i don't remember anything except for waking up after the surgery was finished. i was crying because the nurse was so sweet, she came in on her day off to help the surgeon cause she knew i liked her the most :)

Excellent! I worked in surgery for years and love everything about it. You did a fantastic job with everything. One thing I would like is to hear more hemostat clicks. I am very late to this comment but i also really needed to say, this specific video really has been helping me stay calm about my upcoming surgery on my stomach. Im a sufferer of GERD and H-Pylori which sucks (a double whammy lol) and need to have a repairment surgery unfortunately! Hey really enjoy your medical videos. You always do such a wonderful job and the videos are always relaxing and calming. And the equipment as well as the effort you put in is simply top notch. Was just wondering if I could give you a video idea? It would be wonderful if you could make a video where you roleplay as midwife during the entire labor and delivery process from the start of the contractions until the birth. It would be very amazing and helpful for expecting moms like me because you give such a great feeling of comfort as a nurse. And also one tip about the video: if you plan on making it, it would be very helpful if you could shoot it in front of the patient not from above like surgery videos as it would be a better representative of patient point of view. Saying that, I hope this very long comment didnt annoy you. I would love to hear from you about this video idea and even if it is not possible to shoot I would understand. Wish you the best. ❤

It's very realistic. After emergency surgery for my ruptured appendix. Followed by a hernia repair, gallbladder removal then another hernia repair, I became able to help others feel less nervous. Once they knock you out in the staging area, and next you know they are telling how great all went. Only in my appendix ruptured surgery did actual seen the inside the OR. Honestly I worried I would fall off. It was as thin as weight bench. Think I got to 8 in counting backwards.

When I had my surgery, whatever they gave me before they wheeled me back was like heaven! My eyes went wide like three seconds after they put it in my IV and I didn't care about anything anymore.

after reading the informations to the video, i am surprised how good you were able to pull this off in a way that sounds really nice and still looks well informed and not scary for the viewers. you just found the right spots in between what's actually happening in a surgery and what is easy to see and hear. only the sewing was "a bit" off and i had to look away there 'cause my head went "omg wrong scissors! omg the layers! these knots! waaaah!" xD sorry i am a perfectionist when it comes to that :D well thats not important to the viewers so it's fine! i really like it, it could help scared patients to feel a bit less scared

I had to get a nose surgery when I was in Bangladesh ( now I am in Canada). The surgery was for my deviated nasal septum... and the overall experience was way too horrible! I wish I had such a sweet and caring nurse like you everytime I need a surgery.

hospitals arent fun, but im so glad when i went under i got to have a gas mask for the dentist (fyi i basically just turned 13), and when i woke up i felt HORRIBLEE. but i got a tooth removed, a root canal, and fillings. and yes, the tooth i got removed was an adult tooth.

the med that they put down cannula to put u to sleep actually burns like no other i have had so many surgeries the first time i had it in my cannula i refused to have it that way ever again cos of 1. How much it hurt and they claim they put a massive shot of numbing stuff in before it imagine without and2. It scared me a lot so now i get put to sleep with the gas only even though i still freak out it don’t hurt lmao ik it’s only a few seconds but ok pls say someone relates lol
