If you're a fan of my incoherent rambles, I have another video for you! lol. Today I though I'd talk about the logistics of how I got my autism diagnosis. I didn't include the "whys" because the video would have been massive, but let me know if that's something you're interested and I could probably make a future video about it.
I hope this video is somewhat helpful or at least relaxing? As I was editing, I realized how rambly it was, but I guess you guys are probably used to that by now, huh?
As always, I'm not an expert, and I only speak about my own personal experiences. :)

Hey guys, since my channel isn't monetized at this point, I can't control where the ads are placed in my video, but I wanted to share a little tip with you to help! If you scroll the video to the end and let it play out (any ads should play at the end) and then you can just click the replay button, and there shouldn't be anymore ad interruptions! I hope this helps! I know how frustrating it is when there's an ad in the middle or end of an ASMR video. I will fix this as soon as I am able! :)

Thank you for sharing your story. This is so helpful and interesting for me to hear. My four year old is autistic and the first person I know to have an official diagnosis. So I’m always seeking ways to understand her better to support her in whatever way she needs. I’m glad we recognized the signs early on and got her resources right away to help navigate this journey. Keep advocating for yourself, you deserve it!

I decided to share my diagnosis story here. My name is Filip. I born 17.09.2001 in Bytom (its city in south Poland). From the very beginning, something was wrong with me. I was suspected of many diseases. I've been to every specialist doctor. My mother spent a total of a year in the hospital with me. At the age of 3, I still couldn't speak, so I started going to a speech therapist, from which I attended until 2013. When I went to kindergarten, the teacher pointed out to me that I always play alone and do not talk to other children. For this reason, I continued to go to different doctors. I also started seeing a psychologist. I go to difrent Ms. psycholgists in my life, but i have last visit in april 2021. In year 2012 i go first time wich psychiatrist. The day its 16.12.2012 i got my autsim diagnosis. The term high-functioning autism is used on my diagnosis, but it says on my disability certificate is Asperger syndrom. The psychiatrist diagnosed me on the second visit. After the first visit, she was already suspicious, so I was referred to a neurologist for tests, including an EEG, and to a psychologist for tests. In AQ tests my results its 41 points. In 2013 I start my therapy under autism. I overall meeting good therapist and people, from 1 exception. Among other things, I had sociotherapy and behavioral-cognitive therapy. In elementary and middle school, I never had many friends, I was bullied more than once. It was only in technical school that I met cool people, I graduated from technical school in the field of veterinary technician. I am currently studying geography, but I am not full satisfied with my studies. Sorry for the ambiguity, but I wrote quite generally and my english its not very good. If you have any questions, I'll be happy to answer. And I salute the author of this video.

imho, finding the right therapist can be really difficult and potentially really frustrating and expensive. I feel very fortunate to be working with someone now who is A: autistic herself and B: comes from outside the academy. The system is a mess. I think Autistic people are way better at identifying and supporting other autistic people because their lived experience is far more valuable than info learned in a 1hr lecture in med school. I'm not seeking official diagnosis as I don't see the point for me. I have a whole collection of other diagnoses I can hang on my wall but nothing put the puzzle pieces together like Autism does. Self assessment is valid and people shouldn't be made to feel bad if they closely identify with the Autistic experience but can't afford/get access to official diagnosis. Thank you for sharing your experience. Lovely video

Thank you for sharing! This is giving me the courage to seek my own diagnosis. I was somewhat diagnosed as a child but my parents ignored it because I was "too smart" to be autistic. Now it's getting really bad and I would like to ask for accommodations at work.

I am thinking I’m autistic but I’m afraid to seek a diagnosis incase the specialist is just thinking she is in no way autistic. What if I’m wrong? I don’t want to make a fool of myself

Someone once told me that people who are neurotypical don't sit around wondering if they're autistic. ❤️ Ultimately it's such a personal decision you have to make on whether official diagnosis is something you want to pursue. Your feelings about yourself are valid either way. ❤️

Thanks for sharing! I’ve been trying to pursue a diagnosis myself but the process has been super difficult so I’ve kind of given up hope for now unfortunately. I’d love to hear your thoughts on why you wanted to get diagnosed.

No problem at all! It's so incredibly difficult so I definitely don't blame you. Not something I'd ever want to have to do again, for sure. I'm definitely adding a "reasons why" video to my list of vids I need to eventually film! 🙂

While I fell asleep the first time watching this but this time around I'm listening and your experience sounds so similar to mine. My insurance was approved before an initial consultation. Maybe one day I'll share my experience. Anyway thanks for sharing 💛
