i love this book review, i love the sounds your cooking make, and i loathe colleen hoover books, so as much as i'd hoped to be lulled asleep by asmr (which, in hindsight, wasn't a very realistic expectation in the first place), i stayed awake listening to every word! also, around minute 20, your writing and character? absolutely lovely, that excerpt was so beautifully written!

100% agree with everything you said and it's refreshing to hear someone take a critical stance on some of these "booktok" authors. There are so many lesser known authors that are superior and it really makes me wonder why some of these authors are even popular. I really tried to give CH a chance

I would recommend you to read a Chilean novelist called Isabel Allende. She’s got very lovely stories such as Inés of My Soul, House of the Spirits or Violeta 😊 Btw, cheers on your channel! It’s got both great ASMR and cooking content. Greetings from México! 🇲🇽

It didn’t help me fall asleep but this whole video was hilarious and I’m so sorry you Had to suffer through that book lol. It just sounds so bizarre and the characters kind of seem like they were AI generated by someone who doesn’t really interact with other human beings 😂. Ledger considers himself a feminist and doesn’t want to call Kara pretty but then it seems like all he thinks about is how hot she is. Also when you said this book is in the span of like 2 weeks made me cringe so hard lol. It all just seems so weirdly toxic. Apparently there is a movie coming out based on another one of hoovers books I believe with Blake Lively and it looks like it also has the theme of normalizing crazy toxic if not abusive behavior with an unrealistic ending smh 😂. Great video though I really enjoyed!

I've seen trailers for the movie and read a plot summary of the book it's based on. It honestly seems more toxic than the one I read for this video! I just don't understand the hype. But I'm glad you enjoyed the video :)
