Soft spoken male asmr sleep story about utopia and the dream of ideal cities. In this ASMR video, we explore the old dream of creating the perfect human community and how it translated into architecture and urbanism. Part 1 deals with an overview of city-building since the Antiquity and various experiments from the New and the Old World (especially communities inspired by Fournier, such as Utopia, Ohio; the North American Phalanx in New Jersey; La Réunion in Texas; the Familistère de Guise, Northern France). I also tell you about Robert Owen, the Royal Saltworks of Arc-et-Senans, the creation of Bagdad, and many more things. Part 2 (available soon) will deal with the 20th and 21st centuries, from the Bauhaus, Le Corbusier or Oscar Niemeyer to the dream of arcologies and the on-going building of planned cities all around the world.

I suffer from tinnitus that hits me every night. This I’ve tried white noise, xanax, 420, other ASMR-ers. Your stories, the tone of your voice, have been a miracle. I’m now a patron. Thank you 🙏🏼

For those w tinnitus, ENT studies show that wearing earphones makes tinnitus worse by amplifying it. The best option is to use 2 external speakers that offer STEREO sound, and to place one speaker on the right side of the head, the other on the left. Beware that most bluetooth speakers don’t offer stereo audio, which used to be the standard, back in the day. Stereo refers to two directions, right & left. Instead of all audio streaming identically into a pair of speakers, ie “party mode,” stereo audio splits sound into two signals, with different components of audio traveling to the right or left speaker. This forces the brain to process two different patterns of sounds from different sides of the brain. This helps to distract, or scramble, the sounds of tinnitus. Not all audio sources can be split into stereo sound, but most music is recorded in stereo. Bose makes bluetooth mini speakers that play in stereo. This is not a miracle solution, but has helped me. I sometimes use 2 small sound machines, setting them to play different sounds, like crickets and a babbling stream, and sleep with them, one on each side of my head. Now, I have one speaker on the right or left side of my head, playing French Whisperer asmr, and a sound machine on the other. Helps to scramble the sound of my tinnitus so i can sleep. If this set up sounds like overkill.... you don’t know tinnitus. Chronic tinnitus has led ppl to kill themselves and can be grounds for euthanasia in other countries.

It isn't a myth! I woke up today with an epiphany after listening to the Roman history one last night. Learned the old phrase "Bread and circuses" ... which made me realize the race war is a mere distraction from the class war we should be focused on fighting together as a whole people.

Regarding Babylon.. Biblical scholars are actually speculating that Eridu, the first city was where the tower of babel incident happened. That was where I believe the earliest known ziggurat was found. It was a twin rebellion. A City trying to build a perfection without god. A utopia. The idea was since they were banished from eden, they would try to create their own. They worshipped ENKI. Or Lord of the earth. I think Babylon and Socialism are great parallels since they are both devoted to the destruction of mankind.
