Gosh, places like that scares me as someone from the UK! I can’t stomach the thought of going to one of these parks knowing I’ll probably bump into a bear 🥲 I don’t know how safe it actually is but I get jumpy in England walking past a goose in a park, so nevermind a bear!🤣 Love this video regardless, those sceneries are to die for 🏞

Canadian from British Columbia here. We have a ton of blackbears in my area and if you travel north from me you will start hitting grizzly town. Ive never seen a grizzly in person so I cant say much to that but i think the reaction is similar. but when it comes to the blackbears, the majority of them have no intereat in messing with humans. Make yourself as big as possible and start making loud aggresive sounds. Dont turn and run from them. that kicks that predator prey feeling into overdrive. I dont know if this is valid for momma bears though. since momma has something to defend. and if im wrong people please correct me haha

I’m a climber and the boulder with the lightning bolt is quite significant 😊 it’s called the Columbia Boulder and the lightning bolt is drawn on with chalk. Originally drawn back in the golden age of climbing in the 1970s. Initially thought to be too hard to climb, the route called Midnight Lightning (V8) was climbed by Ron Kauk and is now the most famous boulder problem in the world. The history of Camp 4 is quite fascinating and some of the best climbers to ever live have spent many a day in that campground while climbing some of the most visionary and bold ascents in climbing, all right there in Yosemite Valley.

Swinging bridge used to be a suspension bridge that did in fact swing, after some floods destroying it they had to rebuild the bridge. Unfortunately the new bridge was built much wider and more rugged . However it did withstand the 1997 flood which was one of the more destructive floods in Yosemite. If you’re ever back in the park you can visit the suspension bridge in Wawona and get some swingy goodness

That was all just absolutely stunning. It reminds me of when I went to Colorado Springs, CO, to the Garden of the Gods and Pike's Peak, and it was just as gorgeous. We went in the summertime and the mountain tops still had snow. There was a scenic overlook area where I was watching people hand feed squirrels and chipmunks. I just loved everything about it. If you haven't been, I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for taking the time to think about us, even when you were enjoying the gorgeous sites. Such an incredible video. Also, that was the biggest pine cone I had ever seen in my life. I would have taken that home.
