The way this character has gone from an unusually wealthy peasant to what he is now is awesome to me. Very unique way to build a character and it really makes you want to hear more of who he is and was, and where he is going from here. Bravo Fred, really like this series.

Awesome video Fred I really like these time period based roleplays. Ironically a commoner or peasant having this many weapons and that much money is not unheard of historically. Back then if you were recruited Into a kings army you were not paid in wages like we are today, soldiers from the King down were paid in loot and the higher up you were the more you were entitled to including land and titles which only nobles really got given by the king except in special circumstances and that was the most valuable asset to own as you had authority over all assets in that land including taxes and resources. So if a soldier even a commoner came back from a successful campaign it's not been unknown for them to have taken swords, jewellery, valuable clothing,gold even spices home with them.

Very relaxing video!!!! An idea for your consideration -- the traveler turns out to be Beowulf, on his way to battle with Grendel. The tavern goes into lockdown mode, as Grendel has been preying on travelers and people sleeping or resting at the tavern. We hear distant, low howling outside the doors, and get a glimpse of the foggy evening.
