Road Sound Compilations for 3 hours how about that! Road trip to Florida along with bonus clips at the end on the way back with interesting sounds including I-295 with probably best sounds of the video.
But ok, you will see us drive over a massive pothole which I provided in the comments, and some other miscellaneous stuff which I am not gonna mention, but you get the idea. This should have all the sounds you guys are familiar with, along with sounds that can possibly blow you guys away! Also check out the times below if you have trouble navigating.

Concrete bridge deck sounds are some of my favorite parts about a good road trip. I'm glad that there are more people out there that like them and it makes me not feel alone! I'll tell you the states where you won't find good bridge deck sounds in no particular order: CO, CA, UT, ID, and all of New England. Weak concrete bridge deck sound states I've encountered: MO, PA, KS, NE and SC (entire I-95 corridor) Unfortunately there are some states who are also adopting longitudinal bridge deck grooving. Examples: NY, IA, WY, OH Also, I'm very fond of this channel being a native Marylander myself. Now I live on the opposite side of the country.
@Austin-hg1fp
@Austin-hg1fp 3 жыл бұрын
I've been to ID, CO, and KS. I'll say that KS has the same sound as VA (I like the VA sound) and CO has the TX sound (sometimes longitudinal grooving, but I like the TX sound). You're right about ID, but rarely there's a bridge with a sound and the one I remember had the NC sound. WA doesn't really have good sounds though as another state to add to the list, along with AZ and TN (most bridges in TN are asphalt from my experience).

@@Austin-hg1fp I agree that the concrete sounds in Texas and Colorado are similar, do you know of any additional states that use the same concrete as Texas and Colorado? I think I remember hearing this concrete on an Oklahoma highway, though Massachusetts has a similar concrete heading eastbound on the turnpike approaching the Prudential tunnel.

@@TrsDp8094 (I've actually re-thought my original suggestion to mix with your proposed route,) my (new) recommendation is to take I-81 south through Virginia and then take I-77 south from Fort Chiswell, Virginia to Charlotte, NC and take I-85 south from there. Your northbound route is the same as mine.

@@Mapmaker1559 Wow. I'm shocked. My calculations spotted a 5 minute difference on both routes going south. But heres the thing, its either travel through mountains and/or scenic areas, or through and around cities. And I kinda want to get a lot of I-85 as possible towards Atlanta. But we'll see. That could be the backup is something very bad happens on my proposal

Next summer we will go back and drive to Florida. I dont know about covering all the highways there but I know we will get parts of I-75, Florida's Turnpike, I-95, and possibly I-295. With the whole trip in full hopefully. Once I start driving and can afford long road trips lol, I might go visit those cities in Florida at some point. But this trip we'll definitely have Jacksonville, but dont know about the others.

@Roadsounder99: That’s fine, as long as you make a freeway tour of AT LEAST Jacksonville (since as you mentioned, it would be included in your trip), I’m happy with what you’ll do. Just do it in a way that we can still hear the road sounds (especially since Florida has the best road sounds; the other states you mentioned do have it, though they’re a bit more infrequent).

You should drive on I 85 in GA exit 13 to exit 95, it’s all concrete between 13 and 76 and from 76 to 95 there are lots of bridges since you’re in the Atlanta area. Another small concrete segment in Georgia is between exits 149 and 154. You should also do I 85 in NC from exits 27 to 131, there are some asphalt parts (36-43, 55-63, and 87-96) but they have quite a few bridges. Another good NC Segment is in Durham between 172 and 178.
